I’m Loving…

Happy May Day!

May Day is a celebration of Spring and with that I decided to share the things I’m Loving this season…

Ever since my Spotify recommended “Home” by Austra, I’ve been hooked to this Canadian electronic music band and their upbeat, yet laid back sound. The Dove Real Beauty Sketches video, featured on The Everygirl, made me question our society’s concept of beauty, and made me realize that I’ve been liking a more natural look in all parts of my life. I’m hoping I get a bicycle for my birthday in June {hint hint} and if so, I’ll definitely get this bamboo basket for when I ride to the market. It even turns into a detachable carryall, where you’d find these sustainable monthly toothbrushes   As the flowers bloom and we get more into Spring, I always feel I need to bring in fresh new touches into my life. How adorable is this Dragonfly door knocker by Michael Healy, Made By Humans stapler-free stapler that doesn’t require any metal staples and “&” bottle opener, that would look great between salt and pepper shakers?!

Wishing I had my yard and garden from back in New Jersey so I could hang this Peacock Swingasan chair. It would add a whimsical touch to any outdoor area. I always look forward to BHDLN’s new collections and would love to add this Dream in Lace Plate set, along with this roasting lauren by Prepara. Where has this been all the times I’ve made stuffed peppers, this will be your next kitchen best friend. I loved these Serena and Lily Pewter Mercado Baskets, perfect and pretty storage bins, or laundry baskets.

Shoes, Shoes, Shoes! The Lou by Madison is a classy feminine pump that takes us back to the prim 50’s and 60’s, especially when paired with pastels, florals and over sized sunglasses. This low heel trend might be growing on me…Everyone needs a nude flat like the Matt Bernson Peeper, but the Gemma Wedge and canvas sneakers make your laid back summer style a little bit more wild, especially when paired with Essie’s Meet Me at Sunset and Boxer Shorts. I need, want, must have the Ragini heel by Rebecca Minkoff, probably should start saving up! I’m in dire need a good bag to carry all my necessities. I’m loving the winged shaped handbag trend like  Z Spoke Zac Posen Eartha Full-Flap Satchel Bag and this Asos Leather Satchel Bag. I’m a lover of Au Natural looks – white is by far my favorite color to wear, so this Silk Open-Back Jumpsuit is a necessity. I’m not a pant suit kind of girl, and there’s no way you’ll find me in pants during the hot summer days here in Arizona, but this short suit is a perfect light summer version of traditional office attire. Summer is about light and sheer fabrics that keep you cool during the days, and breeze in the night wind…I can just picture doing some outdoor salsa dancing in this Rebecca Taylor.

Dreamery Headshot_2020

A Lover of Nature & Kindness, constantly smitten by the simple pleasures of life. Travel fills my soul with bliss & inspiration. Flowers are my weakness, a slice of homemade pie makes my heart sing. I love the outdoors & live for al fresco dinner parties, cozy candlelit romantic affairs with warm fires & blankets to share.

I dream about these things, it’s true. Yes, it’s all the small details in life that drive me & everything I do because we all deserve to celebrate every special moment in our lives…

This Soba Tom Yum Noodle dish, inspired by @chriss This Soba Tom Yum Noodle dish, inspired by @chrissyteigen recipe wouldn’t be considered traditional but it does celebrate the beautiful Thai flavors I love. I’ll take all the spice & lemongrass please🍜😋!! It’s certainly become a staple of mine, one I’ve recreated several times & I highly recommend you save in your back pocket because it will leave you craving more...& more!!

I used to post lots of recipes on the blog ‘til weddings/events/design took center stage & hoping to do so more again. Get this recipe on the blog now!
I read something yesterday, that made me instantly I read something yesterday, that made me instantly stop & reflect..."Some people think that having Hope makes you naive, but in my mind, it's so much harder to choose Hope over being angry or frustrated..." As someone who considers herself quite a hopeful person, I've had this on my mind since. Let's not confuse Hope w. toxic positivity {in which negative feelings or hardships are pushed aside}, when there is Hope, we still acknowledge our worries, the drawbacks of life, the sadness but still know that there is good.

We've all been doing our best nearing a year into this pandemic; the lives lost, families broken, the uncertain long-term issues, jobs, livelihoods disrupted & most recently too many people to count, struggling after a natural disaster. My heart breaks & is w. all of you, but despite the darkness, what I've also seen during these trying times...is Hope & Love. Communities & strangers coming together to help one another however way they can, even when they too are struggling to get by. That right there, is Hope. Be gentle with yourself, be gentle w. those around you. We’re all doing the best we can🤍
