Dreamcatching

3a1bb32daf7bba548954187da5b8263d   It’s been a hectic couple of weeks, and the truth is it’s only going to get far more busy. I already am finding it hard to focus, instead I catch myself daydreaming of the next few months, and then I get excited. I’m always in need of some motivational inspiration, something to keep me driven focused on my dreams. I’ve always felt I’ve had too many, frustrated because I couldn’t figure out which one was the best for me. My mind hasn’t seemed to be able to rest even when I sleep because in a recent dream, I was actually living my passion out. I’ve finally focused what I want to specialize, a combination of specialty desserts and event styling. Clearing your mind to discover what your greatest passion, and dream, is the hardest battle, now it’s just figuring out what you can do to get there, which I am already working on.  The determination has been lit within me, because I know now what I’m working towards, and I’m excited. For those of you still trying to figure out your dreams, it’s okay, they require thought, passion, and time. I’ll leave you with the legend of the Dream Catcher…c3c4695d7a03566c2fb68490df64a949

A very well-known Native American tradition, is the presence of the “Dream Catcher” in their homes. Dreams flow in succession in the night. These dreams though good or bad, succumb to the magic of the Dream Catcher. Good dream know their way thru the Dream Catcher, never awakening the dreamer. Unpleasant dreams, however, become entangled in the weaving, perishing in the first sign of a new morning. Dream Catchers are hung by the children’s bedside to make them feel, warm and protected. Make the Dream Catcher a part of your home and have pleasant dreams.d713a42ad900743b675b1253a8c32860

The Legend of the Dream Catcher: The night air is filled with dreams, good and bad. When hung above the at night, the bad dreams get caught in the webbing of the dream catcher and will perish at first light. The good dreams know the way and pass through and slide down the feathers to the dreamer. c339509bd733555f9b09c11bbfaa5e75

“Dream it, do it – the key to achieving what you want; whether it’s a healthier body or increased confidence-may lie in your ability to visualize it.” – Tori RodriguezIMG_8068

I love that I have a story from a new city from where I’ve gotten all my dream catchers.

“You should be so immersed in a {dream} that it seems as if it is actually happening”- Michael Gervais

Dreamery Headshot_2020

A Lover of Nature & Kindness, constantly smitten by the simple pleasures of life. Travel fills my soul with bliss & inspiration. Flowers are my weakness, a slice of homemade pie makes my heart sing. I love the outdoors & live for al fresco dinner parties, cozy candlelit romantic affairs with warm fires & blankets to share.

I dream about these things, it’s true. Yes, it’s all the small details in life that drive me & everything I do because we all deserve to celebrate every special moment in our lives…

This Soba Tom Yum Noodle dish, inspired by @chriss This Soba Tom Yum Noodle dish, inspired by @chrissyteigen recipe wouldn’t be considered traditional but it does celebrate the beautiful Thai flavors I love. I’ll take all the spice & lemongrass please🍜😋!! It’s certainly become a staple of mine, one I’ve recreated several times & I highly recommend you save in your back pocket because it will leave you craving more...& more!!

I used to post lots of recipes on the blog ‘til weddings/events/design took center stage & hoping to do so more again. Get this recipe on the blog now!
I read something yesterday, that made me instantly I read something yesterday, that made me instantly stop & reflect..."Some people think that having Hope makes you naive, but in my mind, it's so much harder to choose Hope over being angry or frustrated..." As someone who considers herself quite a hopeful person, I've had this on my mind since. Let's not confuse Hope w. toxic positivity {in which negative feelings or hardships are pushed aside}, when there is Hope, we still acknowledge our worries, the drawbacks of life, the sadness but still know that there is good.

We've all been doing our best nearing a year into this pandemic; the lives lost, families broken, the uncertain long-term issues, jobs, livelihoods disrupted & most recently too many people to count, struggling after a natural disaster. My heart breaks & is w. all of you, but despite the darkness, what I've also seen during these trying times...is Hope & Love. Communities & strangers coming together to help one another however way they can, even when they too are struggling to get by. That right there, is Hope. Be gentle with yourself, be gentle w. those around you. We’re all doing the best we can🤍
