The sun was still young on our way home from here, so we decided to take a spontaneous drive to Liberty State Park in time to catch the sun set over New York City. I hadn’t been here in a few years and was pretty amazed at how close the Statue of Liberty, downtown NYC and the far off bridge appeared, glowing in the sun. If there’s one thing I missed the most it’s been photographing like I use to in high school, when I’d pick up my camera and just see the world. It doesn’t matter how cold or windy, it was peaceful walking alongside the water, passing by runners, catching the last moments of the breathtaking sunset. Sunsets, photography and nature, the makings of a perfect afternoon.
