My Favorite Bridal Designers

January 31, 2014 · 3 Comments

I’ve been sharing some of the loveliest Spring 2014 Bridal collections, and the end off my series I wanted to share with you my absolute favorite designers. These artists perfectly craft designs that are romantic, simply chic, vintage, yet modern, delicate and just absolutely feminine. I have dreams about these breathtaking gowns, and I’m sure you will too.

BHLDN is by far my favorite bridal brands, not only for their breathtakingly beautiful gowns, but their glamorous vintage accessories and lovely entertaining pieces, featuring it as one my first wedding posts. BHLDN Spring 2014 Each lovely piece gets me more and more excited as I click next. It brings me to a whimsical garden, full of magical romance and beauty.Strands of tiny pearls artfully draped forming decadent garlands, pure silk tulle and satin make the Ortensia gown one of my favorites.

PicMonkey CollageThe Leyna transform any bride into a goddess dripped in crystals.

4874f5b05b5fa320fd82e3442a227885Exquisitely Perfectly embroidered in delicate three-dimensional flowers, the Sian reminds me of blooming summer gardens.

PicMonkey CollageBHLDN’s accessories are just to beautiful for words, The curvature necklace resembles antique lace beaded together with pearls, while the gold crystal lattice sash airy latticework.

ad0988de91ddc7303cba6357707d860eThe Onyx is truly romantic, the voluminous layers of tulle and lacey sheer back will take your breath away.

01fb520882e01f628efa02763d19d4a3At once Structured yet billowy with cascading layers of chiffon, this is a fit for a romantic goddess.

81183800cffc18d5346df2e6035943cbThis ribboned silk beauty is sleek, sexy and effortlessly romantic.

The Vera Wang Spring 2014 takes you to a magical garden, where unique detailed blooms grace sleek silhouettes. A lover of lace, I just adore the unique take on the classic texture, along with billowing skirts of tulle, structured yet simple lines. Even her colored Spring 2013 gowns, if they were in soft neutral hues, and classics rank as some of the most beautiful gowns for me, making Vera Wang my absolute favorite bridal designer.

1389394370_f_Macy_FrontWith large bloom appliques, the Macy transforms the classic lace gown, into sheer modern grace.

1c3bc5e732e25017ea8c9fbb25cd4adeFrom afar the Matilda looks like a simple strapless gown, but when looked closely the impeccable detailing of whimsical lace appliques is what makes Vera Wang a master of her art.

ffff78abd9e125085b4a22eadfb27593I just can’t get enough os this collection unique lace details, especially when used to create a fun peplum skirt on the Madeline.

8d8b867574a3ff90e343812173b65c8fThere’s no need for added sashes with organza flowers with the Mallory, because the detailed overlay resembles a beautiful and delicate flower garden.

The Jenny Packham 2014 bridal collection makes all my vintage dreams a reality. Her effortless silhouettes and ornate beading, resemble the grace and beauty of glamorous affairs, where champagne fizzled and dancing was required all night. Jenny Packham brings us to another era with her stunning designs, making her another one of my favorites.

026df1c8a82a0aef5355e2a10e4dfbfb3ff853b481dd2ede57c647e371e68f37e7779425303883537bfb908f5216bebbI’ll admit my favorite gowns from the 2014 collection are the Florence, Rita and Nanette because they are the epitome of classic 1920’s glamour, grace and elegance. Perfect for a bride you wants to be effortless chic.

5b5979edd19da53232e7d237e135436aSoft chiffon and sheer embroidering, make the Kitty an effortlessly lovely gown.

681c19289a302b93c58a2d0e49767ba9My jaw dropped when I saw the Alexia gown, with delicate crystal details that make sheer sleeves and graceful chiffon shine like diamonds.

I’ve just discovered Sarah Seven and after gazing through the Spring 2014 vintage inspired bohemian chic gowns, I fell in love. Every design, is the epitome of “oh so dreamy” romantic. Delicate lace, soft tulle,  textures and silhouettes that exude femininity.

39cd8bd271291f02b0d02b021162a6ad7d165243cdfcede4dc14ed0ed518b29cClementine and Southern Comfort are the perfect blend of elegant boho chicness.

3a090f3cf394f58cec5dec69d1072ce3The Yvette is an elegant sleek lace gown, while the Blythe is perfect for the boho style bride. 8dfe1e2fec70efa06420997c5b0b46d2

I’ve been smitten with Claire Pettibone‘s stunning details, lace, and heirloom styles for quite some time. There may not be a designer who has quite mastered the art of mixing vintage, modern romantic style, and exquisite feminine detail as she has. The 2014 Decoupage collection layers different laces with silk, flower appliques with delicate hand beading cutting to create gowns that are simply wear timeless works of art.

97a7eea415189e00b611335caab6d478Vintage lace graces the Charlotte from head to toe.

4c7e7053aedcc0f72fc3c8298f1d54cdI find nothing more romantic and feminine than a long delicate train sweeping across the aisle.

This Soba Tom Yum Noodle dish, inspired by @chriss This Soba Tom Yum Noodle dish, inspired by @chrissyteigen recipe wouldn’t be considered traditional but it does celebrate the beautiful Thai flavors I love. I’ll take all the spice & lemongrass please🍜😋!! It’s certainly become a staple of mine, one I’ve recreated several times & I highly recommend you save in your back pocket because it will leave you craving more...& more!!

I used to post lots of recipes on the blog ‘til weddings/events/design took center stage & hoping to do so more again. Get this recipe on the blog now!
I read something yesterday, that made me instantly I read something yesterday, that made me instantly stop & reflect..."Some people think that having Hope makes you naive, but in my mind, it's so much harder to choose Hope over being angry or frustrated..." As someone who considers herself quite a hopeful person, I've had this on my mind since. Let's not confuse Hope w. toxic positivity {in which negative feelings or hardships are pushed aside}, when there is Hope, we still acknowledge our worries, the drawbacks of life, the sadness but still know that there is good.

We've all been doing our best nearing a year into this pandemic; the lives lost, families broken, the uncertain long-term issues, jobs, livelihoods disrupted & most recently too many people to count, struggling after a natural disaster. My heart breaks & is w. all of you, but despite the darkness, what I've also seen during these trying times...is Hope & Love. Communities & strangers coming together to help one another however way they can, even when they too are struggling to get by. That right there, is Hope. Be gentle with yourself, be gentle w. those around you. We’re all doing the best we can🤍
Finding it a bit hard to stay positive today…in Finding it a bit hard to stay positive today…in truth the state of our planet weighs heavily on me daily, but especially these last few days knowing that millions of people are struggling to have the basic necessities of staying warm & having running water in their own home. It’s baffling. But this is the sad reality that we have created as humans. Decades of corporations, governments & leaders choosing profits over the value & quality of human life & of every living organism necessary to make our ecosystems thrive.

No, not the happiest of posts, but it’s honesty. We have created the rise in repeated natural disasters, pandemics & rare diseases. And until we hold these people accountable & collectively make drastic changes, then we will continue to have these in more severe cases — so yes, more diseases, more crazy things happening to our environment & the places we love. We have created this change & it’s severely impacted every facet of our lives & future.

My heart is w. everyone struggling right now, because this shouldn’t be happening. Please stay safe, check on your neighbors & loved ones. Help however way you can🤍
