Spring Looks

February 28, 2014 · 1 Comment

In Bloom With Spring fast approaching, although not soon enough, I’m looking forward to reinterpreting some of my favorite designer’s looks from their Spring 2014 collections. Keeping it basic, chic yet feminine and of course effortless. During the warm days of Spring and Summer I opt for simple, easy-going pieces. Outfits that let me feel the brisk breeze and the warmth of sunshine on my skin. This year I want to experiment more with my style, beyond the basics and favorite pastels with different prints, silhouettes and shapes. It’s a good thing we’ve got a few more weeks until my favorite season, so that I can add a couple more staple pieces to my wardrobe complete these looks. {image above}

Denim Romper I feel the denim romper might be my daily go to piece

Mixed Prints As per my goal for this year, I’m ready to overcome mixed printsAlicia + Olivia Spring 2014

But I’ll still always be drawn to florals

White Dress

My staple would definitely be white dresses for day and an all white pant outfit for chilly nightsAll White Outfit

I keep my accessories to a minimum during warm days, so I always have a good pair of neutral sandals with this season’s trend of high ankle straps, a versatile loafer, along with dainty gold jewelry and the perfect shoulder bagVictoria's Secret Ankle Strap Sandal Victoria's Secret Slip On Loafer

Dreamery Headshot_2020

A Lover of Nature & Kindness, constantly smitten by the simple pleasures of life. Travel fills my soul with bliss & inspiration. Flowers are my weakness, a slice of homemade pie makes my heart sing. I love the outdoors & live for al fresco dinner parties, cozy candlelit romantic affairs with warm fires & blankets to share.

I dream about these things, it’s true. Yes, it’s all the small details in life that drive me & everything I do because we all deserve to celebrate every special moment in our lives…

This Soba Tom Yum Noodle dish, inspired by @chriss This Soba Tom Yum Noodle dish, inspired by @chrissyteigen recipe wouldn’t be considered traditional but it does celebrate the beautiful Thai flavors I love. I’ll take all the spice & lemongrass please🍜😋!! It’s certainly become a staple of mine, one I’ve recreated several times & I highly recommend you save in your back pocket because it will leave you craving more...& more!!

I used to post lots of recipes on the blog ‘til weddings/events/design took center stage & hoping to do so more again. Get this recipe on the blog now!
I read something yesterday, that made me instantly I read something yesterday, that made me instantly stop & reflect..."Some people think that having Hope makes you naive, but in my mind, it's so much harder to choose Hope over being angry or frustrated..." As someone who considers herself quite a hopeful person, I've had this on my mind since. Let's not confuse Hope w. toxic positivity {in which negative feelings or hardships are pushed aside}, when there is Hope, we still acknowledge our worries, the drawbacks of life, the sadness but still know that there is good.

We've all been doing our best nearing a year into this pandemic; the lives lost, families broken, the uncertain long-term issues, jobs, livelihoods disrupted & most recently too many people to count, struggling after a natural disaster. My heart breaks & is w. all of you, but despite the darkness, what I've also seen during these trying times...is Hope & Love. Communities & strangers coming together to help one another however way they can, even when they too are struggling to get by. That right there, is Hope. Be gentle with yourself, be gentle w. those around you. We’re all doing the best we can🤍
