NYC Dining {Brunch}

April 21, 2014 · 5 Comments

I hold Brunch and all breakfast meals to high standards. It’s my favorite meal, and sets the tone for your entire day. I get excited by this meal, so in order for me to get myself out of the door before eating it needs to be quite a decadent spot. Eggs Benedict accompanied with a fish option, speciality waffles or pancakes, say lemon ricotta, and of course not only just one choice, but several options of Bloody Mary’s should be on the menu. You’d think these are pretty specific menu options, but these picks for Brunch spots in New York City would have me out of bed in a hurry just for a taste. Prune is making this list too, along with my cocktail list because it looks that delicious! Read here for suggestions on more NYC Dining spots, most serve up equally decadent brunch options, as well as some of these NYC Cocktail spots. NYC Dining {Alder}Reinvented breakfast is enough to get me out of bed for a chance to brunch at Alder. Pizza bagel and classic Bloody Mary please!

NYC Dining {Laduree Soho}

Grab the girls for a French Girls day out to the Laduree Soho. Their brunch seems too impeccable to pass up, especially their Macarons making it the spot for dessert too.

NYC Dining {Egg Restaurant}

With a name like Egg‘s it’s hard not to want to taste the fresh eggs straight from the farm, and waffles drizzled with Vermont maple syrup. Take home a bag of coffee or jar of Groundcherry jam to wake up like you would at Egg Restaurant.

NYC Dining {MarlowandSons}

I don’t often eat bagels, since I’m not the lucky few who can eat them on a regular basis and stay physically in tact, but I’d have to treat myself for Marlow and Sons‘s filled with Whitefish salad

NYC Dining {Freeman's}

Aside from exclusive small batch of Whiskeys and innovative cocktails Freeman‘s, known for Rustic American Cuisine not only concocts a good drinks, but they offer a variety of mouth-watering selections whatever meal you’re having.

NYC Dining {Thistle Hill Tavern}

When you find donut French Toast on any menu, you order it. That’s the boldly playful style you’ll find at Thistle Hill Tavern. Not necessarily a Brunch spot, but it’s got a menu to please any mood.

A Lover of Nature & Kindness, constantly smitten by the simple pleasures of life. Travel fills my soul with bliss & inspiration. Flowers are my weakness, a slice of homemade pie makes my heart sing. I love the outdoors & live for al fresco dinner parties, cozy candlelit romantic affairs with warm fires & blankets to share.

I dream about these things, it’s true. Yes, it’s all the small details in life that drive me & everything I do because we all deserve to celebrate every special moment in our lives…

tiny joyous things🌿 ... I try not to lose sight tiny joyous things🌿 ... I try not to lose sight of the fact I get to create & "work" w. beautiful flowers; one of the things I love so much & one of the joyful parts of creating & sharing my work w. others. But this whole social media thing is weird right, the world is weird & broken right now -- as creatives seems like are new age question is "do I post this pretty picture when this is really happening right now?! but it's also kind of my job to put my work out there for others to see, right?!" ... but I’m learning, funny enough, by some inspiring women on this platform, it's ok to feel all these things while also sharing the joyous, cool & helpful things we are all working on, creating & hoping to bring into this world. Life is filled w. beautiful & sad moments, happiness, joy, grief, fear, doubt, love. All the tiny things🤍

& if anyone watched last night's This is Us, how beautiful was their telling of one's final moments, looking back at life. Ugh my heart😢

May is the start of a busy few months of events, so I’m going to make sure I prioritize Rest whenever I can. But also plenty of garden days, living & cherishing simple moments — because when the busy days will feel like a blur or the state of the world (big/small) only adds to the mental drain, I know these will be the things that keep me going🤍
