What better way to bring a smile to the amazing women in your life, than with a Mother’s Day arrangement put together with bright, colorful and fragrant garden flowers. With so many lovely flowers blooming, it was the perfect excuse to take a walk outside into the garden, where I snipped handfuls of wildflowers, Azaleas, some swirly green stems, and contrasting green and white Hosta leaves. Hydrangea and peonies aren’t quiet in season yet, but I couldn’t resist them since they work well with roses in arrangements, which tend to be the favorite amongst most mothers. I chose the Conga rose for its large bud, similar to that of garden roses, inspired by the cheerful orange-yellow hue that resembles the morning sun shining onto the different shades of pink growing in my yard. You don’t have to spend a lot on flowers for Mother’s Day, instead purchase one of two varieties as the main flowers, then personalize and complete the floral look with small touches found near your home that remind you of that special woman.
