I’m Loving…

July 31, 2014 · Leave a Comment

I'm Loving...I’d give anything to be able to move and travel, but my injury has also given me the opportunity to walk in someone else’s shoes. It has given me much more insight and an understanding of what it’s like to not be able to walk, have a disability or not do simple tasks normally. I value and look up to people with disabilities, they are truly the brave ones, the strong ones who perseveres and overcome the obstacles of life. Although, life is filled with many pretty and lovely things like the ones I’ve shared with you below, this quote also made me realize even though the world is a beautiful place, we must also be able to get out there and experience the hardships too.

I'm Loving...Ever since I’ve been a little girl, I’ve always been smitten with lace, and this veil is exactly why the Olsen sisters are design genisuses

I'm Loving...A simple yet beautiful centerpiece of garden roses that resemble the soft color of summer peaches

I'm Loving...I will always love a floral crown, but I love this braid with tiny flowers delicately dispersed

I'm Loving...I’m a sucker for a great structured printed midi skirt

I'm Loving... love Gamma Folk’s handmade pieces, especially this tassel necklace

I'm Loving...I’ve gathered up a few stained lace pieces my mother gave me, to make dreamcatchers like this one {source unknown}

I'm Loving...I’ve got multiple photo apps on my iPhone, and I’m having tons of fun with Party Party from A Beautiful Mess

I'm Loving...I’ve recreated this simple branch coffee table arrangement in my home, alongside vases filled with shells from Mexico

I'm Loving...Add a pop of color to your yard with this bright chair

I'm Loving...Farmer Market season is getting better by the day, and this basket is just perfect for all your fresh produce

I'm Loving...Between fresh beets and heirloom tomatoes, this is by far one of the loveliest summer salads

I'm Loving...I’m counting the seconds until I’m good enough to stand and bake again, this Cherry Clafoutis is first on my list

I'm Loving...My summer playlist just keeps growing, the latest addition “Cool Kids” by Echosmith

Dreamery Headshot_2020

A Lover of Nature & Kindness, constantly smitten by the simple pleasures of life. Travel fills my soul with bliss & inspiration. Flowers are my weakness, a slice of homemade pie makes my heart sing. I love the outdoors & live for al fresco dinner parties, cozy candlelit romantic affairs with warm fires & blankets to share.

I dream about these things, it’s true. Yes, it’s all the small details in life that drive me & everything I do because we all deserve to celebrate every special moment in our lives…

This Soba Tom Yum Noodle dish, inspired by @chriss This Soba Tom Yum Noodle dish, inspired by @chrissyteigen recipe wouldn’t be considered traditional but it does celebrate the beautiful Thai flavors I love. I’ll take all the spice & lemongrass please🍜😋!! It’s certainly become a staple of mine, one I’ve recreated several times & I highly recommend you save in your back pocket because it will leave you craving more...& more!!

I used to post lots of recipes on the blog ‘til weddings/events/design took center stage & hoping to do so more again. Get this recipe on the blog now!
I read something yesterday, that made me instantly I read something yesterday, that made me instantly stop & reflect..."Some people think that having Hope makes you naive, but in my mind, it's so much harder to choose Hope over being angry or frustrated..." As someone who considers herself quite a hopeful person, I've had this on my mind since. Let's not confuse Hope w. toxic positivity {in which negative feelings or hardships are pushed aside}, when there is Hope, we still acknowledge our worries, the drawbacks of life, the sadness but still know that there is good.

We've all been doing our best nearing a year into this pandemic; the lives lost, families broken, the uncertain long-term issues, jobs, livelihoods disrupted & most recently too many people to count, struggling after a natural disaster. My heart breaks & is w. all of you, but despite the darkness, what I've also seen during these trying times...is Hope & Love. Communities & strangers coming together to help one another however way they can, even when they too are struggling to get by. That right there, is Hope. Be gentle with yourself, be gentle w. those around you. We’re all doing the best we can🤍
