Friday Favorites

September 26, 2014 · Leave a Comment

Friday FavoritesIt’s beginning to look, and feel, a lot like fall here on the east coast this week. I’ll take the beautiful color changing trees, and comforting seasonal flavors, but as for the brisk weather that has me grabbing a light sweater and rain boots, that I’m just not ready for. Can I have my daily dose of sunshine and dress wearing warmth back please! I don’t know if it’s the weather or I’ve just been thinking way too much, and dwelling but as much as it is pleasant going into a new season, I’ve been feeling slightly down. But instead of focusing on how I don’t like the weather, I’ve kept myself busy improving creative skills, working on new recipes and ideas for the upcoming holidays, and taking action towards my business. This weekend will be a busy one as well, but it will be one filled with love, as my boyfriend’s brother is getting married. I am looking forward to be spending these memorable occasions with them and their loved ones. Have a lovely weekend! Friday Favorites Another batch of my favorite and super healthy granola needs to be madeFriday Favorites Gardening while the weather still allows me to

Dreamery Headshot_2020

A Lover of Nature & Kindness, constantly smitten by the simple pleasures of life. Travel fills my soul with bliss & inspiration. Flowers are my weakness, a slice of homemade pie makes my heart sing. I love the outdoors & live for al fresco dinner parties, cozy candlelit romantic affairs with warm fires & blankets to share.

I dream about these things, it’s true. Yes, it’s all the small details in life that drive me & everything I do because we all deserve to celebrate every special moment in our lives…

This Soba Tom Yum Noodle dish, inspired by @chriss This Soba Tom Yum Noodle dish, inspired by @chrissyteigen recipe wouldn’t be considered traditional but it does celebrate the beautiful Thai flavors I love. I’ll take all the spice & lemongrass please🍜😋!! It’s certainly become a staple of mine, one I’ve recreated several times & I highly recommend you save in your back pocket because it will leave you craving more...& more!!

I used to post lots of recipes on the blog ‘til weddings/events/design took center stage & hoping to do so more again. Get this recipe on the blog now!
I read something yesterday, that made me instantly I read something yesterday, that made me instantly stop & reflect..."Some people think that having Hope makes you naive, but in my mind, it's so much harder to choose Hope over being angry or frustrated..." As someone who considers herself quite a hopeful person, I've had this on my mind since. Let's not confuse Hope w. toxic positivity {in which negative feelings or hardships are pushed aside}, when there is Hope, we still acknowledge our worries, the drawbacks of life, the sadness but still know that there is good.

We've all been doing our best nearing a year into this pandemic; the lives lost, families broken, the uncertain long-term issues, jobs, livelihoods disrupted & most recently too many people to count, struggling after a natural disaster. My heart breaks & is w. all of you, but despite the darkness, what I've also seen during these trying times...is Hope & Love. Communities & strangers coming together to help one another however way they can, even when they too are struggling to get by. That right there, is Hope. Be gentle with yourself, be gentle w. those around you. We’re all doing the best we can🤍
