It’s the first official weekend of summer, and on Sunday along with it being the longest day of sunshine of the year, it’s also Father’s Day. What are your plans for spending it with dad? I think, if the weather permits, a day in the yard and grilling up some lunch is exactly what my dad wants, and some freshly made ice cream too. This week was all about taking it slow, reorganizing and sorting things back after multiple events, and getting prepped for my vacation getaway to Portugal. With flowers still beautiful from my cousin’s bridal shower filling up the house, it was too hard not to want to share only flower photos, but there hasn’t been a shortage of pretty things around here. I’m attending J’s best friend’s wedding this Saturday, and then relaxing with my father and family on Sunday. This Saturday is also the last day of the astrological sign Gemini, so for all my fellow Geminis, I hope that you have a great birthday season, and a great year to come. There will be plenty of inspiration coming next week. Have a great weekend and Father’s Day!
An afternoon of techno dance music and a making lots of tassels that were supposed to hang from balloons but instead became a garland. Pretty tile floor in a lovely rustic coffee shop in the flower district in New York City. Being in the flower market and seeing so many beautiful things, was a cool way to spend the morning of my birthday. Pretty flowers I had throughout the house for my birthday leftover from this pretty garden shower. I had so many that I made several small arrangements and gave them to neighbors and friends. This Hosta bush is amazing, just the size of its leaves is impressive!
Even without its pretty purple petals, the clematis leaves behind whimsical greens. I miss my beautiful peony bush, this last week it finally bloomed its last flowers. If you’ve been following along on Instagram you probably have seen a few photos from the Gatsby garden bridal shower I just did, well the full post is coming next week and there are lots of pretty details.
I love the birthday card one of my close girl friends sent me that I might have it framed for the office.
