Purple Garden Hues

August 31, 2015 · 1 Comment

Purple Garden HuesThe end is near for August, and September is just waiting to bring us Fall. It’s hard not to ignore that the sun sets just a few moments sooner each day. In between enjoying the beach and as many days in the sun while we can, outdoor gatherings, the faint sounds of the ice cream truck and the clinking of bike bells – that whisper is in the air. That this will soon blend into colors of browns and oranges, brisk winds and comfy sweaters, and holiday gatherings. It’s a whisper and fact I choose to ignore completely. How can you not be upset this is all leaving us soon, let’s just keep this lifestyle just a bit longer, well at least until the weather tells us otherwise. Purple Garden Hues Purple Garden Hues The garden is beginning to show its last bit of summer, with the peppers beginning to turn into their distinct colors and leaves drying out. The summer’s heat has a taken a toll on some flowers budding and drying quickly, leaving us with little time to enjoy their loveliness outside. Left are the sturdy and beautiful Dahlias. But this summer has given us plenty of color. From stunning tulips that were unrecognizable, pretty roses and delicate endless peonies, to these amazing climbing purple hued Clematis, that lasted through almost all of these hot summer days. As I enjoy every last moment of summer or warm weather that I can, here are just a few purple hued photos from my garden this summer… Purple Garden HuesIMG_7159 Purple Garden Hues Dark purple bearded Irises are quite amazing up close. Purple Garden Hues Purple Garden Hues IMG_7116How fun are these deep hued Allium flowers. Thanks to Floret Flower, I discovered what this flower even was.

My favorite was having these magenta flowers freshly cut in the house. Purple Garden Hues Purple Garden Hues Purple Garden HuesHow amazingly stunning are these Dahlias!!

A Lover of Nature & Kindness, constantly smitten by the simple pleasures of life. Travel fills my soul with bliss & inspiration. Flowers are my weakness, a slice of homemade pie makes my heart sing. I love the outdoors & live for al fresco dinner parties, cozy candlelit romantic affairs with warm fires & blankets to share.

I dream about these things, it’s true. Yes, it’s all the small details in life that drive me & everything I do because we all deserve to celebrate every special moment in our lives…

I love how they make a statement in larger arrangements or more minimalist creations, but even more so, beautifully grouped together on their own in lovely vintage bud vases. Spring certainly has so many wonders & simple intricacies that bring us joy, even if for a brief season🌿

I’ve found the less I share on social media the more authenticity thrives. The ever-dream & idea filled mind grows & flourishes. It’s been comforting knowing that other creatives I’ve admired for years, both event related & not, have in part felt the same. When one creative outlet was paused, the other creative ideas that had been hibernating in the mind, quietly waiting for their time, began to shine brighter & brighter. Yes, it’s been comforting feeling that commonality in change & perspective...

But the one thing that’s never changed for me, is celebrating the beauty in the simple things. Giving a new home, a new form of life to a simple treasure. Those subtle everyday moments that are beyond inspiring...
