I’m Loving…Simple + Elegant Christmas Tablescapes

I'm Loving...Christmas Tablescapes

Ah the hustle and bustle of the holidays are in full effect. I hope amidst all the craziness that some make the holidays to be, that you actually enjoy this time of year for what it is. A special time giving back, spending time with loved ones, good food and drinks, and maybe singing Christmas music and watching movies as much as you possibly can each day. Maybe that’s just me, I really haven’t cared about anything if it’s not Christmas related. The next two weeks are definitely going to be busy around these parts with the start of cookie and dessert orders, a winter wonderland candy buffet I’m decorating, and some handmade holiday gifts I have to finish.

This weekend I definitely will be enjoying Christmastime, by going to see the Rockefeller Center tree and holiday window displays, and then meeting up with college friends on Saturday for a holiday party. Since, I will be so busy right up to Christmastime, I’ve pretty much already set the menu and lists for Christmas Eve and Day, but I’ve been trying to finalize the look for my table and decor. I want to keep things on the table simple, considering the lack of space…something a bit woodsy with fresh winter greens and lots of candles. Here are just a few Christmas tablescapes I’m loving…

This Soba Tom Yum Noodle dish, inspired by @chriss This Soba Tom Yum Noodle dish, inspired by @chrissyteigen recipe wouldn’t be considered traditional but it does celebrate the beautiful Thai flavors I love. I’ll take all the spice & lemongrass please🍜😋!! It’s certainly become a staple of mine, one I’ve recreated several times & I highly recommend you save in your back pocket because it will leave you craving more...& more!!

I used to post lots of recipes on the blog ‘til weddings/events/design took center stage & hoping to do so more again. Get this recipe on the blog now!
I read something yesterday, that made me instantly I read something yesterday, that made me instantly stop & reflect..."Some people think that having Hope makes you naive, but in my mind, it's so much harder to choose Hope over being angry or frustrated..." As someone who considers herself quite a hopeful person, I've had this on my mind since. Let's not confuse Hope w. toxic positivity {in which negative feelings or hardships are pushed aside}, when there is Hope, we still acknowledge our worries, the drawbacks of life, the sadness but still know that there is good.

We've all been doing our best nearing a year into this pandemic; the lives lost, families broken, the uncertain long-term issues, jobs, livelihoods disrupted & most recently too many people to count, struggling after a natural disaster. My heart breaks & is w. all of you, but despite the darkness, what I've also seen during these trying times...is Hope & Love. Communities & strangers coming together to help one another however way they can, even when they too are struggling to get by. That right there, is Hope. Be gentle with yourself, be gentle w. those around you. We’re all doing the best we can🤍
