Happy New Year…2016 Inspiration

January 1, 2016 · 3 Comments

Happy New Year...2016 Inspiration

Do you make goals for yourself each New Years Day? I enjoy setting goals, whether it’s continuing a current goal I’m working on or new ones for the next twelve months ahead. I also like to hit refresh on my office inspiration board, as well as my computer backgrounds, oh and maybe Pinterest board too, I know a lot of inspiration going around, but I love to surround myself with the images I envision for myself, or at least would really like to attract to my life in the next year. I think the first day of the year is perfect to leave last year’s baggage, and start slightly fresh. New ideas, new words, mantras, new motivation, new goals.

Here’s to wishing you all a very happy, healthy, and loving 2016!

My favorite Inspiring Words post. It’s going to be 2016’s mantra. I'm Loving...2016 Inspiration

I’m hoping for an even larger garden this year. {image via Ewain the Garden}

The cakes I’m envisioning for The Dreamery are simple but beautifully adorned with preferably flowers. {image via Oh Joy!}

And lots of beautiful pies. {image via Kitchen Heal Soul}

My something new this year is going to finally be the Ukulele! {image via Ethereal Gold Tumbler}

More leisure Sunday brunches please. {image via Why, Hello There Tumbler}

Working from home and in the kitchen, doesn’t give me much reason to get dressed for work. But this year I want to make more of an effort to look a bit more put together, when out running errands, for both business and personal. Even if it is wearing just a bit of mascara or a pretty top and casual bottom and shoes, or a pretty braid. {image via Gal Meets Glam}

I want to come together with loved ones a lot more, even for just a dinner, and reconnect better with friends from afar. {image via Lauren Conrad}

And above all I want 2016 to be calm, peaceful, enlightened, and full of sunshine whatever may come its way. {image via Swandive Tumbler} I'm Loving...2016 Inspiration

Hoping your 2016 looks as inspirational and lovely!

Dreamery Headshot_2020

A Lover of Nature & Kindness, constantly smitten by the simple pleasures of life. Travel fills my soul with bliss & inspiration. Flowers are my weakness, a slice of homemade pie makes my heart sing. I love the outdoors & live for al fresco dinner parties, cozy candlelit romantic affairs with warm fires & blankets to share.

I dream about these things, it’s true. Yes, it’s all the small details in life that drive me & everything I do because we all deserve to celebrate every special moment in our lives…

This Soba Tom Yum Noodle dish, inspired by @chriss This Soba Tom Yum Noodle dish, inspired by @chrissyteigen recipe wouldn’t be considered traditional but it does celebrate the beautiful Thai flavors I love. I’ll take all the spice & lemongrass please🍜😋!! It’s certainly become a staple of mine, one I’ve recreated several times & I highly recommend you save in your back pocket because it will leave you craving more...& more!!

I used to post lots of recipes on the blog ‘til weddings/events/design took center stage & hoping to do so more again. Get this recipe on the blog now!
I read something yesterday, that made me instantly I read something yesterday, that made me instantly stop & reflect..."Some people think that having Hope makes you naive, but in my mind, it's so much harder to choose Hope over being angry or frustrated..." As someone who considers herself quite a hopeful person, I've had this on my mind since. Let's not confuse Hope w. toxic positivity {in which negative feelings or hardships are pushed aside}, when there is Hope, we still acknowledge our worries, the drawbacks of life, the sadness but still know that there is good.

We've all been doing our best nearing a year into this pandemic; the lives lost, families broken, the uncertain long-term issues, jobs, livelihoods disrupted & most recently too many people to count, struggling after a natural disaster. My heart breaks & is w. all of you, but despite the darkness, what I've also seen during these trying times...is Hope & Love. Communities & strangers coming together to help one another however way they can, even when they too are struggling to get by. That right there, is Hope. Be gentle with yourself, be gentle w. those around you. We’re all doing the best we can🤍
