Wedding Inspiration: Save the Dates

Have your social media news feeds been shining bright with lots of pretty diamond stunners over the last few months, I know mine definitely has with a few friends becoming engaged all within days of each other. From Thanksgiving up until Valentine’s day, it’s the height of engagement season. After the happy couple has celebrated with each other and loved ones, it’s time to tackle on the planning process. After the important vendors are booked, the date and venue of course set, the next order of business is to tell all the lucky people you want to celebrate with, when your special day will be happening. Save the Dates have come a long way from simple note cards to magnets, to personal and unique interpretations of you as a couple or hint your wedding’s style.  Whether you’re planning a wedding that is classic, whimsical, boho, in a ballroom or set in a European vineyard, Save the Date ideas are endless. This Soba Tom Yum Noodle dish, inspired by @chriss This Soba Tom Yum Noodle dish, inspired by @chrissyteigen recipe wouldn’t be considered traditional but it does celebrate the beautiful Thai flavors I love. I’ll take all the spice & lemongrass please🍜😋!! It’s certainly become a staple of mine, one I’ve recreated several times & I highly recommend you save in your back pocket because it will leave you craving more...& more!!

I used to post lots of recipes on the blog ‘til weddings/events/design took center stage & hoping to do so more again. Get this recipe on the blog now!
I read something yesterday, that made me instantly I read something yesterday, that made me instantly stop & reflect..."Some people think that having Hope makes you naive, but in my mind, it's so much harder to choose Hope over being angry or frustrated..." As someone who considers herself quite a hopeful person, I've had this on my mind since. Let's not confuse Hope w. toxic positivity {in which negative feelings or hardships are pushed aside}, when there is Hope, we still acknowledge our worries, the drawbacks of life, the sadness but still know that there is good.

We've all been doing our best nearing a year into this pandemic; the lives lost, families broken, the uncertain long-term issues, jobs, livelihoods disrupted & most recently too many people to count, struggling after a natural disaster. My heart breaks & is w. all of you, but despite the darkness, what I've also seen during these trying times...is Hope & Love. Communities & strangers coming together to help one another however way they can, even when they too are struggling to get by. That right there, is Hope. Be gentle with yourself, be gentle w. those around you. We’re all doing the best we can🤍
