Traveling to…Montego Bay

March 8, 2016 · 4 Comments

Traveling to...Montego BayI’m back from vacation! I returned back to Montego Bay, Jamaica for a week with J and his family, where we stayed at the same resort I had the first time I visited. This vacation was all about relaxation. After braving the first two days of clouds and light rain, the remainder of the week had plenty of sun loving, pool cool offs, and kayaking atop the crystal blue ocean. This adventure loving girl was happy to sneak away at least one of the days to head to the famous Dunn’s River Falls, where we climbed up the 900 ft waterfall, which was amazing! Can’t wait to share photos from that a bit later. We then headed to a real bobsled ride and my favorite, zip lining! Traveling to...Montego BayTraveling to...Montego BayI was more happy to finally be in warm weather again after such a cold winter, and to spend much needed time with J. Not to mention coming home with a dark golden tan was a great perk too, especially when some exceptionally great spring weather awaited me the days after I returned. It was a nice time away, but it’s definitely back to serious business! With a jam packed end of March and April I’ve got plenty of party decorations to make, projects to work on and plan, and of course recipes and fun crafts! Here are just a few snippets of my travels to Montego Bay…Traveling to...Montego BayTraveling to...Montego BayTraveling to...Montego BayTraveling to...Montego Bay

Dreamery Headshot_2020

A Lover of Nature & Kindness, constantly smitten by the simple pleasures of life. Travel fills my soul with bliss & inspiration. Flowers are my weakness, a slice of homemade pie makes my heart sing. I love the outdoors & live for al fresco dinner parties, cozy candlelit romantic affairs with warm fires & blankets to share.

I dream about these things, it’s true. Yes, it’s all the small details in life that drive me & everything I do because we all deserve to celebrate every special moment in our lives…

This Soba Tom Yum Noodle dish, inspired by @chriss This Soba Tom Yum Noodle dish, inspired by @chrissyteigen recipe wouldn’t be considered traditional but it does celebrate the beautiful Thai flavors I love. I’ll take all the spice & lemongrass please🍜😋!! It’s certainly become a staple of mine, one I’ve recreated several times & I highly recommend you save in your back pocket because it will leave you craving more...& more!!

I used to post lots of recipes on the blog ‘til weddings/events/design took center stage & hoping to do so more again. Get this recipe on the blog now!
I read something yesterday, that made me instantly I read something yesterday, that made me instantly stop & reflect..."Some people think that having Hope makes you naive, but in my mind, it's so much harder to choose Hope over being angry or frustrated..." As someone who considers herself quite a hopeful person, I've had this on my mind since. Let's not confuse Hope w. toxic positivity {in which negative feelings or hardships are pushed aside}, when there is Hope, we still acknowledge our worries, the drawbacks of life, the sadness but still know that there is good.

We've all been doing our best nearing a year into this pandemic; the lives lost, families broken, the uncertain long-term issues, jobs, livelihoods disrupted & most recently too many people to count, struggling after a natural disaster. My heart breaks & is w. all of you, but despite the darkness, what I've also seen during these trying times...is Hope & Love. Communities & strangers coming together to help one another however way they can, even when they too are struggling to get by. That right there, is Hope. Be gentle with yourself, be gentle w. those around you. We’re all doing the best we can🤍
