Hey guys, I just wanted to stop by real quick, and I mean real quick, during this crazy week. Figured at least one day reminiscing about a recent vacation would motivate me to kick ass this week. You know it’s just been that time, where there’s been plenty going on both at work and personallly…two showers this weekend, and several other fast approaching events this month then throw in Easter, several birthdays, procrastinated taxes, a book signing, and somehow fitting in working out. I’m not one for rambling, but are you with me and a nice little refresh for the start of spring. I don’t know, I’m thinking a weekend away with J, once I get a break soon. A nice little trip, the kind I can enjoy the things that make me love Spring.
In the meantime let be think back to Jamaica…It’s been a month, yes an entire month since my second trip to Jamaica. Most days were spent on the beach on the resort but we did adventure on one of the days to a spot I never made it to on my first visit. We headed to Dunn’s River Falls in Montego Bay, Jamaica where we walked, more like climbed, a 900 ft high waterfall. We didn’t have waterproof cameras or phones, so we picked up a disposable waterproof camera. I’ve often used them on tropical vacations, per my dad’s need to take underwater photos while snorkeling, and because cave swimming happens. The quality isn’t the best, but I actually loved the vintage film feel of these photographs from our time at Dunn’s River Falls. No need for any added Instagram filters, these film photographs have all the style and uniqueness we so desperately aim to achieve. It really was a fun excursion, and I think these film photographers, from a disposable no less, really did capture our excitement and feeling from that day.
That’s the thing about a photograph, and music, it transports you back to a memory, and can make you feel as if, even just for a few moments, you are traveling to another part of the world, to another part of your life.
Great post and photos. Weirdly enough ours are similar because i’m guessing you you a waterproof camera as well. Have written about our experience at the falls on my blog but in short loved it. Thanks
Thank you, and yes I did use a waterproof camera 😉 Surprisingly it took some great photos right? Have a great one!
