I’m Loving…

April 12, 2016 · Leave a Comment

I'm Loving...It’s totally a new week and already Tuesday to bat. The beginning of last week was spent recuperating from styling this and another shower over the weekend and gaining the energy to start up again with planning, meetings and making decor. This weekend was nice, the weather was still a bit too cold to actually enjoy it, but Saturday’s cloudy rain was perfect for making this birthday cake for an order and whipping up a new batch of granola I have for you later this week. Sunday was sunny, a really sunny day, yet still a bit too nippy to sit outside and enjoy the tulips beginning to bloomy, but it was perfect for cracking the windows open just a bit to let the fresh air in, and putting together some blog posts. With my schedule getting busy quickly once again, I wanted to make sure this month I didn’t skimp on my posts, especially since I have so much I want to share from last month.

Doesn’t it always seem like there are so many wonderful ideas circling around the web come Spring and this time of year. There really are so many lovely things I’m loving lately…

I’ve had this quote posted up on my computer all week. I love it, especially as we head on into Spring, even though it feels far from it here in New Jersey, but April 22nd is Earth Day. With the focus of the month on Earth, it’s important that we take care of it. The place we live on is in pretty serious trouble and we need to treat it like a loved one, but it’s the only place we got. via The Infinity Call InstagramI'm Loving...

This pretty pink bag, just perfect for spring is from Old Navy, yes you read that right. via Old NavyI'm Loving...Isn’t this the prettiest of spots, whether for a guest house, outdoor office, or even inspiration for a charming shop {wink wink}. via Sugar and CharmI'm Loving...

Ever see a piece of art with the perfect shade of blue for your bathroom, or a rose in the perfect shade of pale pink for your office, when Color Snap App from Sherwin Williams can help you get that exact color in paint!I'm Loving...

It’s like something has been popping up about Portugal daily. I really need to try for that late Spring trip, accomplish a wine tasting tour through the country and have an adventure. via Sunvil Blog I'm Loving...

I’ve been doing my spring cleaning in parts, but if you have a whole day, you should just get it all done! via Glitter GuideI'm Loving...

Let the diet spring clean/overhaul commence as well. I became so busy leading up to last week, that I’m guilty of not having the best of meals, but I’m back routine and kicking it off with a clean wholesome day. via The New PotatoI'm Loving...

I don’t care that this song is old, it’s just fun!

I dream about these things, it’s true. Yes, it’s all the small details in life that drive me & everything I do because we all deserve to celebrate every special moment in our lives…

This Soba Tom Yum Noodle dish, inspired by @chriss This Soba Tom Yum Noodle dish, inspired by @chrissyteigen recipe wouldn’t be considered traditional but it does celebrate the beautiful Thai flavors I love. I’ll take all the spice & lemongrass please🍜😋!! It’s certainly become a staple of mine, one I’ve recreated several times & I highly recommend you save in your back pocket because it will leave you craving more...& more!!

I used to post lots of recipes on the blog ‘til weddings/events/design took center stage & hoping to do so more again. Get this recipe on the blog now!
I read something yesterday, that made me instantly I read something yesterday, that made me instantly stop & reflect..."Some people think that having Hope makes you naive, but in my mind, it's so much harder to choose Hope over being angry or frustrated..." As someone who considers herself quite a hopeful person, I've had this on my mind since. Let's not confuse Hope w. toxic positivity {in which negative feelings or hardships are pushed aside}, when there is Hope, we still acknowledge our worries, the drawbacks of life, the sadness but still know that there is good.

We've all been doing our best nearing a year into this pandemic; the lives lost, families broken, the uncertain long-term issues, jobs, livelihoods disrupted & most recently too many people to count, struggling after a natural disaster. My heart breaks & is w. all of you, but despite the darkness, what I've also seen during these trying times...is Hope & Love. Communities & strangers coming together to help one another however way they can, even when they too are struggling to get by. That right there, is Hope. Be gentle with yourself, be gentle w. those around you. We’re all doing the best we can🤍
