Showcasing at Elegant Bridal Show at The Stony Hill Inn

May 17, 2016 · 2 Comments

Showcasing at Elegant Bridal Show at The Stony Hill InnBack in April when I was already overloaded with work for several parties, I decided to take on another styling project, showcase at a bridal show! At the end of the month I setup a table, alongside other great north NJ wedding vendors for the Elegant Bridal Show, at the classic ballroom Stony Hill Inn. I wanted the table to exude the beauty and grace of simplicity, a la a Downton Abbey tea time. Mostly white and neutrals, with lots of gilded pieces including the flatware. The only touches of color were the pretty rose tinted flutes and vintage flower plates. Showcasing at Elegant Bridal Show at The Stony Hill InnI’ve been totally in love with the juxtaposition of blending classic touches with acrylic modern pieces. It was definitely a unique and eye catching way to attract brides to The Dreamery’s social media outlets. It was perfect to guide each attendees’ attention to one of my flyers, which I just love from Moo, and booklets I put together for newly engaged couples, with small pages filled with tips and advice. It was definitely a great hit!Showcasing at Elegant Bridal Show at The Stony Hill InnShowcasing at Elegant Bridal Show at The Stony Hill InnOne of my favorite parts of my showcase was the logo sign I made. I knew I wanted to find a wooden palette but after some time searching, I found a cool wooden window that just needed a bit of cleaning up and new coat of paint. Thank goodness for the Gypsy Farmhouse for rustic vintage pieces! IMG_3608Showcasing at Elegant Bridal Show at The Stony Hill InnThese were the most amazing and beautiful smelling flowers, of course they were these stunning white peonies, nestled between lots of pretty greens and white tulips.

Dreamery Headshot_2020

A Lover of Nature & Kindness, constantly smitten by the simple pleasures of life. Travel fills my soul with bliss & inspiration. Flowers are my weakness, a slice of homemade pie makes my heart sing. I love the outdoors & live for al fresco dinner parties, cozy candlelit romantic affairs with warm fires & blankets to share.

I dream about these things, it’s true. Yes, it’s all the small details in life that drive me & everything I do because we all deserve to celebrate every special moment in our lives…

This Soba Tom Yum Noodle dish, inspired by @chriss This Soba Tom Yum Noodle dish, inspired by @chrissyteigen recipe wouldn’t be considered traditional but it does celebrate the beautiful Thai flavors I love. I’ll take all the spice & lemongrass please🍜😋!! It’s certainly become a staple of mine, one I’ve recreated several times & I highly recommend you save in your back pocket because it will leave you craving more...& more!!

I used to post lots of recipes on the blog ‘til weddings/events/design took center stage & hoping to do so more again. Get this recipe on the blog now!
I read something yesterday, that made me instantly I read something yesterday, that made me instantly stop & reflect..."Some people think that having Hope makes you naive, but in my mind, it's so much harder to choose Hope over being angry or frustrated..." As someone who considers herself quite a hopeful person, I've had this on my mind since. Let's not confuse Hope w. toxic positivity {in which negative feelings or hardships are pushed aside}, when there is Hope, we still acknowledge our worries, the drawbacks of life, the sadness but still know that there is good.

We've all been doing our best nearing a year into this pandemic; the lives lost, families broken, the uncertain long-term issues, jobs, livelihoods disrupted & most recently too many people to count, struggling after a natural disaster. My heart breaks & is w. all of you, but despite the darkness, what I've also seen during these trying times...is Hope & Love. Communities & strangers coming together to help one another however way they can, even when they too are struggling to get by. That right there, is Hope. Be gentle with yourself, be gentle w. those around you. We’re all doing the best we can🤍
