I’m Loving…

February 3, 2017 · Leave a Comment

Another month has passed, and I don’t know about you but it definitely went by too fast. Well January definitely felt productive, on both a personal and professional level. I dedicated this month to declutter; the entire house and my event storage room, and I did it! Yes, it took an entire month, and now all that’s left to do is finish organizing my catering kitchen. Mentally, meditation has been the biggest habit I’ve continued to commit too, and I’ve carried the decluttering theme onto my techs as well as beauty and cleaning routines, opting for more natural products. Professionally, things are a getting busy! I have a huge 1st birthday at the end of this month, that is going to be an enchanting celebration, so I’ve taken these past few weeks to get ahead of all the things that need to be done. I’ve taken on a few calligraphy projects and landed a corporate account for monthly cakes!

What I haven’t been loving, this weather. Honestly, I have nothing to complain about since it hasn’t been that bad here in New Jersey, but I’m over it. I need warm sunny days to wear off-the-shoulder tops and jumpers in orange hues, which I seem to be eyeing lately. But this weekend is Super Bowl and I can’t wait to cheer on my Patriots, again! I’m getting together with a group of gals, and I wish I would’ve stumbled upon Beijos Events fun Just Here for The Commercials Sunday Funday sooner, because it looks like one football gathering we would’ve loved to recreate. Happy weekend!

Growing up I was a Little Mermaid fanatic, and still kind of am, so when I saw this Mermaid 5th birthday, I of course fell in love. But when I read that it was put on by several talented designers for the late Tori Hendrix’s daughter, my heart melted even more for it. via 100 Layer Cakelet

I had to share two outfits in this post, because I’m equally obsessed with this bright coral jumper. Seriously, when will we get warm weather?! via Free People

I have a knack of losing earrings, not recently, but through the years I’ve lost my share of favorite danglers, including the daintiest pair I wore with everything. When I saw this DIY, I squealed, mostly because I don’t know how it hadn’t crossed my mind sooner to make another pair myself. via A Beautiful Mess

I'm Loving... | Dreamery EventsSpending summers in Portugal where wood burning stoves are still used today , I grew to love the intricate beautiful detailing of these stoves. One look at them and your instantly transported to another time, not to mention they have endless functions from cooking, to roasting and keeping an internal pot of water hot all at once. And I’m so glad they’re coming back in style. via Apartment Therapy

With a tub of ricotta waiting to be used, this mouth-watering breakfast is most definitely on the menu for the weekend. via Half Baked Harvest

Beet hummus served in avocados for Super Bowl, genius! via Beijos Events

Tiger Striped Sky by Roo Panes is a few years old, but I only first heard yesterday during my yoga routine and I instantly fell in love with its sweet melody. It’s my kind of chill music whether baking, cleaning, or on a cloudy day when spring is on my mind.

This Soba Tom Yum Noodle dish, inspired by @chriss This Soba Tom Yum Noodle dish, inspired by @chrissyteigen recipe wouldn’t be considered traditional but it does celebrate the beautiful Thai flavors I love. I’ll take all the spice & lemongrass please🍜😋!! It’s certainly become a staple of mine, one I’ve recreated several times & I highly recommend you save in your back pocket because it will leave you craving more...& more!!

I used to post lots of recipes on the blog ‘til weddings/events/design took center stage & hoping to do so more again. Get this recipe on the blog now!
I read something yesterday, that made me instantly I read something yesterday, that made me instantly stop & reflect..."Some people think that having Hope makes you naive, but in my mind, it's so much harder to choose Hope over being angry or frustrated..." As someone who considers herself quite a hopeful person, I've had this on my mind since. Let's not confuse Hope w. toxic positivity {in which negative feelings or hardships are pushed aside}, when there is Hope, we still acknowledge our worries, the drawbacks of life, the sadness but still know that there is good.

We've all been doing our best nearing a year into this pandemic; the lives lost, families broken, the uncertain long-term issues, jobs, livelihoods disrupted & most recently too many people to count, struggling after a natural disaster. My heart breaks & is w. all of you, but despite the darkness, what I've also seen during these trying times...is Hope & Love. Communities & strangers coming together to help one another however way they can, even when they too are struggling to get by. That right there, is Hope. Be gentle with yourself, be gentle w. those around you. We’re all doing the best we can🤍
