February the shortest month of the year, it always seems to fly by in a blink of an eye. And this year with a big birthday party I styled just last weekend, this past month felt like a pure blur, a very very pink blur. Valentine’s day came and went, and Delia’s 2nd birthday was an all pink, dreamcatcher, teepee, macaron filled girly fete that I can’t wait to share with you. During that time, I stay inspired with plenty of greens, simplicity, nature and everything to excite me for the start of Spring in a few weeks.
From pampas grass backdrops, minimal florals, a little girl’s green nursery, the craziness of Peaky Blinders and the anticipation of Pie baking…these are a few of my favorite things this past month!

I don’t know about you, but during the Olympics I watched nothing else, and naturally loved so many of the songs figure skaters performed to. So naturally, this past month I found myself listening a lot more classical, emotion evoking songs, like “To Build a Home.” Anyone else not able to listen to this beautiful song without thinking of THE scene from This Is Us, nope I can’t, I just ball. Yet, on the total opposite spectrum I found myself delving back into my teenage little rocker chick days listening to Weezer, Thirty Seconds to Mars and Dashboard Confessional. And I was still riding my love of May It Last, and listened to a lot of The Avett Brothers, perfect cure to snowy cold days.
I finally finished Peaky Blinders. Wow, these guys are insane! But the ladies they run with, well they’re total bad ass*** and I love how strong they are to put up, and even be smarter, more clever than the gents.
Mozart in the Jungle is back! This isn’t a hugely popular show, but I definitely recommend watching it. It’s in its 4th season but it’s light an easy to get through. It follow the lives of several NY symphony players, including their quirky funny maestro performed by the amazing Gael Garcia Bernal. If you’re a lover of music, especially classic or instrumental you will love it. This show isn’t high drama, which is a perfect change of pace amongst all the dark, intense, griping shows {and reality} that consumes us.
And speaking of gripping shows, have you been watching The Alienist? Man this show has so much twist and turns, as it progresses it keeps getting better and you just want/need to more, not only of the serial killer on the loose, but especially all the main characters who are so intriguing.
Victoria also just wrapped up its 2nd season, and this is one I’ve been watching since day one so it’s great to see people are starting to love it too. If you enjoy watching the Crown, you’ll love watching this one about Queen Victoria, the great grandmother of Queen Elizabeth. Some of the story lines are altered, like Prince Albert’s brother Ernest’s love affair with Harriet Duchess, but it makes for a wonderful intriguing plot.
Who wouldn’t want to have a human-size bouquet with them at all times?! Apartment Therapy
