How is it April 11th already?? I knew this month was going to be another blur as December was, there is just sooo much going on, like right now I’m currently in NYC wrapping up a last minute two day event, plus there’s has been so much lovely things happening at Dreamery Events from weddings to birthdays to everything else. Even though time hasn’t been enough for much in my personal life, daydreaming has been totally necessary for my mind, so there has been no lack of amazing inspiration…..gorgeous wedding attire, minimalist yet rustic cozy nooks, tons of Spring recipes I can’t wait to make with produce that is finally in season, plenty of awesome lady rockers creating amazing music + so so much wanderlusting……

Black Mirror oh my, there aren’t enough words to describe the insanity in each completely different episode, no surprise it is such a big hit, but thank goodness I saved the rest of Mozart in the Jungle {which I sadly just found out is canceled 🙁 } to watch after this, because I was in need of something much lighter and happier after going on a crazy mindf**k roller coaster. I’ve watched some gorey, intense dark shows, but this one totally takes the cake, ughhh the last episode of season 4, be forewarned it’s not for the faint of heart. This show is good but scary and not in a “boo” kind of way, it touches on issues and topics going on in our society now, but in a far far extreme dystopian way that the technology topics are actually totally possible, which makes it scarier.

I sped through the second season of the Santa Clarita Diet. I love Drew Barrymore and thought this new season was even funnier. They are so dysfunctional, and Timothy is so kooky in his role…I just love it. Great light show, even though Drew eats people hah!

911. Okay I didn’t need another firefighter and police officer show, I’ve been a fan of Chicago Fire fan since day one, but after hearing so many reviews about this show I had to give a shot. Well, I was crying 17 minutes into the first episode. It’s good! Not to mention its leading ladies are Connie Britton and Angela Bassett

Timeless is back. I repeat Timeless is back!! I’ve been waiting to long, have re-watched the first four episodes too many times…enough said…

As far as music, this past month I was feeling beats that were a bit more laid back chill but with a beat that evoked a mood that told a story to make you feel something, from slightly classical to indie folk. Subconsciously I discovered so many new women artists I can’t get enough of, perfectly timed with National Women’s History Month I’d say. And since vacations are being planned and  bachelorette getaways may be happening, you need to add “I Miss You” by Jillian Michaels & Clean bandit to your mix for some chill carefree vibes!

We connect & interpret it in so many personal ways — some of us are drawn to the beauty in the soft muted tones, while others it’s the bright rich hues. Each view & approach, a special way of embracing color✨🌿🌈And I am here for all it!

“Ikebana; the Japanese art of flower arranging t “Ikebana; the Japanese art of flower arranging that emphasizes form & balance — symbolizing the beauty & essence of all components in Nature working in harmony. Ikebana expresses strong emotions through its four principles of a fresh approach, movement, balance & harmony, while highlighting its three elements; line, color & mass.

Ikebana designs use fewer stems that are intentionally arranged to reflect the balance of opposing elements. Ikebana floral art is a reflection of the person creating it & its evolving story.”
……
This year I’m challenging myself each month to create a design. Whether it be a centerpiece or tablescape, I want to expand & challenge my creativity, skills & ever-flowing ideas. It’s a perfect way for me to create for the sake of creating while inspiring you with joyful pieces & help others see unlikely designs with a new perspective.

I was naturally drawn to the traditional artform of Ikebana, for it takes the simplest elements & transforms them into designs that evoke an immense emotion. For me there is so much power & beauty in that, but also why I think it’s not as understood or appreciated as elaborate floral designs.

I stumbled upon this forgotten small blue & white dish, thought how perfect it would be to capture the story of “Winter Blues” — not the sadness of the bitter season, but the emotion of a fresh clean slate where Nature is bare, minimal & calm, yet open to all the possibilities of the unknown … using a few sprigs of Blue Thistle & the inspiration of Ikebana intentions, this tiny delight was made💙

Dreamery is a bespoke event and floral design brand focusing on gatherings of all sizes, stylings, home, decor and the limitless creative projects yet to be envisioned. Nature, travel, old world treasures & slow living are my constant inspiration.
