Send Love From Afar :: 5 Printable Cards to Cheer Up Your Besties

October 5, 2020 · Leave a Comment

5 Printable Cards to Cheer Up Your Besties || Dreamery Events

This year hasn’t been an easy one. Between adapting to quarantine life and fighting against social injustice, your mental well-being has likely taken a toll. While it’s been difficult, 2020 has also opened our eyes to the many ways in which we can connect with each other and lift up the people we love from afar. Whether that be via a FaceTime call, a text message or a post on social media shouting out a friend’s accomplishment — there’s always a way to show support.

Celebrating important milestones like a promotion, having a baby, a birthday or a wedding with friends and family is often what makes it feel real. This has certainly been cut short ever since the pandemic took over our lives. So you may not be able to hug your besties and dance through the night with them but that doesn’t mean you can’t find a different way to show how much you love and care for them. A call is a great way to connect but if we’re being honest, few things beat the feeling of opening your mailbox and discovering a card or a letter from a friend!

I love to receive a hand written note or card from loved ones in the mail, to hold something in your hand someone you care for took the time to sit, put thought into and send, rather than a quick and instant text. I love to receive cards, but I truly love to send them. Along with small care boxes of love and little treats, it’s a small and simple gesture that makes a world of a difference!

Because this feeling is so priceless, FTD created five printable cards that you can send to your friends for all kinds of (missed) occasions and special moments. You can choose between a lovely quote about friendship just because, a cute wedding dress illustration for your friend whose wedding may have been postponed or a card for your fellow lady bosses powering through these few months. Whichever you choose and whatever words you write, it will certainly brighten their day!

In recent years, I’ve been a big card DIYer. I think there is something more personal about making your own card, even it it’s using one of many, many, beautiful printable templates available. But it’s stress-free!! No worrying about not having the right store-bought card in hand for the occasion or finding something that fits their personality, and that isn’t expensive. A printable card is just as perfect, if not more so, than one purchased in a store.

These printable images are so fun and pretty, there is definitely a little something for all the special ladies in your life. Can you guess which one caught my eye right away? 😉

You can easily download all the cards here and print them out on U.S. letter size paper {8 ½ inches wide and 11 inches long} to create a 5×7″ folded card. Once cut and folded, they’ll fit perfectly into an A7 envelope you can send to your bestie for a little pick-me-up!

Fill the card with a few words of encouragement, a quote, a reassuring note that they can always reach out to you or maybe just a silly joke to make them smile. You can even create a lovely little box of goodies which I love to do, whether a pretty scented candle, a batch of freshly baked cookies or something that is unique to your friendship.

And if you’re not big on words or sometimes you can’t quite find the right ones to say, as it happens to us all, you can find writing prompts and ideas of messages to include in your card in FTD’s full post here.

Whatever you end up writing in your card, you have the chance to make someone’s day. And isn’t that what we all need this year?

Hope you enjoy this sweet treats Sending love to you all, always!

I’ve never been one to connect with the color pu I’ve never been one to connect with the color purple much, & yes I believe everyone connects to colors in certain ways. And yet, Clematis are some of my favorite flowers🌿

For a brief few Spring days each year, the garden is a vision of purples....deep rich violets that almost look black, their sheen like velvet, delicate lavenders & pretty mauves that flutter in the breeze. Nature is a true delight for the soul🤍

They’re calling for a too hot, too soon kind of weekend, but we’ll be surrounded w. love celebrating a special wedding at a lovely location! Hope this weekend brings you moments of rest & joy, that allow you to look at all that is blooming🌱…
tiny joyous things🌿 ... I try not to lose sight tiny joyous things🌿 ... I try not to lose sight of the fact I get to create & "work" w. beautiful flowers; one of the things I love so much & one of the joyful parts of creating & sharing my work w. others. But this whole social media thing is weird right, the world is weird & broken right now -- as creatives seems like are new age question is "do I post this pretty picture when this is really happening right now?! but it's also kind of my job to put my work out there for others to see, right?!" ... but I’m learning, funny enough, by some inspiring women on this platform, it's ok to feel all these things while also sharing the joyous, cool & helpful things we are all working on, creating & hoping to bring into this world. Life is filled w. beautiful & sad moments, happiness, joy, grief, fear, doubt, love. All the tiny things🤍

& if anyone watched last night's This is Us, how beautiful was their telling of one's final moments, looking back at life. Ugh my heart😢
There’s one word to describe the first full even There’s one word to describe the first full event of the season…ethereal🤍

Event season is in full swing & it’s nice to finally step aside from planning to bring all the ideas, time & details to life!

May is the start of a busy few months of events, so I’m going to make sure I prioritize Rest whenever I can. But also plenty of garden days, living & cherishing simple moments — because when the busy days will feel like a blur or the state of the world (big/small) only adds to the mental drain, I know these will be the things that keep me going🤍
