Today I’m sharing an adorable 1st Birthday and Christening Celebration inspired by subtle Noah’s Ark details, baby Jayden’s love of books, and a soft sage green and cream color palette. What was even more special about creating this event, was working with an amazing team of vendors, almost all female owned … each one making every detail special and custom to baby Jayden. See below for all the sweet details from Jayden’s special day ….
Guests were welcomed to Jayden’s party with a display made to resemble a cozy reading nook. I envisioned a corner in Jayden’s room filled to the brim with his favorite books, furry animal friends and plenty of space to display each guests’ “book favor.” Favors were custom picture frames of Jayden wrapped in paper and string to look like a book, and a custom bookmark place card with a pretty sage green ribbon.
The cake, or should I say cakes, were showcased with a fun mixture of simple but modern details — a perfectly colored balloon and backdrop display from Melitas Balloons, darling animal sugar cookies and cake from Sweet Chaos, custom cake toppers and decals from Emma James Gifts, pretty florals and linens from More than a Gift, and yes even that adorably cute life-size giraffe!
More than a Gift’s tablescapes of white and green florals with hints of whimsical pampas grass, soft sage chiffon runners and gold tables were simply perfect!
Jayden and all his friends had plenty to entertain themselves with a large sized themed coloring page and Noah’s Ark matching game, but their favorite part had to be the oh-so-fun soft play set by Happy Kidz. They all went home with a sweet animal canvas bags, filled with treats custom to each child and all tied with a bookmark featuring their names so they could use with their favorite books.
