August 25, 2016 · 1 Comment

I’ve realized over the years, that I’ve developed many of the sane characteristics and interests from my father. One of the major would be our love of nature, especially water. As beach lovers, I often wake up and tag along with my father for his before sunrise beach days. My father loves the ocean, while I…

Traveling to...New York City|Part II

For the past two weeks I’ve been lucky enough to have a few cousins from Portugal visiting because of our cousin’s wedding. These past few days, after the wedding hype and excitement, we toured as much of the surrounding area that we could. I am pooped out from being a tour guide, but it was…

Friday Favorites + Last Minute Christmas Decor

There is nothing more beautiful than a house adorned with fresh pine garland, tied up in bows, filled with the invigorating scents of winter, and a twinkling gilded tree. I love when my house is decked for this special holiday, and although it takes me about three days to put everything together, I wouldn’t trade…

I just cannot contain my excitement and happiness this week. At the moment, I’m en route to Lake George where I’m honored to be taking part in my best friend’s wedding. I can’t believe the day is finally here, and I can now stop dreaming of beautiful outdoor ceremonies like this, since I’ll be walking down the…

Between a weekend away in New York City, meetings and small jobs this week has flown by like no other. Not fully feeling energized this week, made me feel like I’ve been actually wasting time and not following through with what I’ve told myself I’ve set out to do. Better yet I’ve realized that I’ve…

Dreamery Headshot_2020

A Lover of Nature & Kindness, constantly smitten by the simple pleasures of life. Travel fills my soul with bliss & inspiration. Flowers are my weakness, a slice of homemade pie makes my heart sing. I love the outdoors & live for al fresco dinner parties, cozy candlelit romantic affairs with warm fires & blankets to share.

I dream about these things, it’s true. Yes, it’s all the small details in life that drive me & everything I do because we all deserve to celebrate every special moment in our lives…

This Soba Tom Yum Noodle dish, inspired by @chriss This Soba Tom Yum Noodle dish, inspired by @chrissyteigen recipe wouldn’t be considered traditional but it does celebrate the beautiful Thai flavors I love. I’ll take all the spice & lemongrass please🍜😋!! It’s certainly become a staple of mine, one I’ve recreated several times & I highly recommend you save in your back pocket because it will leave you craving more...& more!!

I used to post lots of recipes on the blog ‘til weddings/events/design took center stage & hoping to do so more again. Get this recipe on the blog now!
I read something yesterday, that made me instantly I read something yesterday, that made me instantly stop & reflect..."Some people think that having Hope makes you naive, but in my mind, it's so much harder to choose Hope over being angry or frustrated..." As someone who considers herself quite a hopeful person, I've had this on my mind since. Let's not confuse Hope w. toxic positivity {in which negative feelings or hardships are pushed aside}, when there is Hope, we still acknowledge our worries, the drawbacks of life, the sadness but still know that there is good.

We've all been doing our best nearing a year into this pandemic; the lives lost, families broken, the uncertain long-term issues, jobs, livelihoods disrupted & most recently too many people to count, struggling after a natural disaster. My heart breaks & is w. all of you, but despite the darkness, what I've also seen during these trying times...is Hope & Love. Communities & strangers coming together to help one another however way they can, even when they too are struggling to get by. That right there, is Hope. Be gentle with yourself, be gentle w. those around you. We’re all doing the best we can🤍
