New York City Sailing

August 25, 2016 · 1 Comment

  I’ve realized over the years, that I’ve developed many of the sane characteristics and interests from my father. One of the major would be our love of nature, especially water. As beach lovers, I often wake up and tag along with my father for his before sunrise beach days. My father loves the ocean, while I…

Christmas in New York City

December 17, 2015 · 3 Comments

There really is something just so magical about New York City during Christmastime. If you’ve never had the chance, it’s a must, especially if you love this time of year. The beauty you see in movies, it’s all there, of course with thousands of people among you, but that’s what adds to its magic. I’ve been lucky…

Traveling to...New York City|Part II

For the past two weeks I’ve been lucky enough to have a few cousins from Portugal visiting because of our cousin’s wedding. These past few days, after the wedding hype and excitement, we toured as much of the surrounding area that we could. I am pooped out from being a tour guide, but it was…

It’s my first full day in Portugal, so naturally this week would’ve consisted mostly of prepping for a three-week vacation in another country, but it was quite the opposite. Summers in Portugal are a much easier trip to pack than fall or winter, choosing clothes is quite easy for me. The week instead consisted of…

You couldn’t ask for a more perfect first week of summer, and way to end the work week that seemed to drag on. The sun is shining brightly over the Hudson River as boats sail by, and the desire to be outside is just too much for me to contain. Entering back into the corporate world…

NYC Dining {Dessert}

April 28, 2014 · Leave a Comment

The sweetest way to end my NYC Dining series is of course with my favorite, dessert. These are bakeries, small cafes and speciality spots that have been getting recognition through the baking and blogging world. Of course, I follow their Instagram, drooling over their pie perfections and pretty Macarons, especially from the Laduree in Soho, and…

NYC Dining {Cocktails}

April 15, 2014 · 1 Comment

Before moving to Tucson, I did research on places my roommate and I should dine at, being we love food and the experience of going out to eat. It’s also the best recommendation to become familiar when living in a new city. It was one of my favorite pastimes when I lived out West, and I…

This week was an energy filled rejuvenation. It feels amazing waking up early each morning with the sun. Now that I’ve been redecorating my room, it has so much of the bright natural light, I love so much. I’ve also begun oil pulling, and let me tell you, I’m hooked! It may seem weird at…

NYC Dining

What I miss most about living out west, aside my the amazing weather, was the culinary scene and the amazing and comfortably chic restaurants serving up fresh ingredients with unique takes. Living so close to New York City, I have the opportunity and advantage to explore some of the world’s best spots for food. And…

Traveling to…Hoboken

December 31, 2013 · Leave a Comment

There was an unexpected warm breeze in the air the days before Christmas, which I couldn’t help but take advantage of this freak spring weather by bringing my grandparents to one of my favorite cities, Hoboken. The history, the scene, the people, activities and eateries for all fancy, and the irreplaceable New York City skyline…

A Lover of Nature & Kindness, constantly smitten by the simple pleasures of life. Travel fills my soul with bliss & inspiration. Flowers are my weakness, a slice of homemade pie makes my heart sing. I love the outdoors & live for al fresco dinner parties, cozy candlelit romantic affairs with warm fires & blankets to share.

I dream about these things, it’s true. Yes, it’s all the small details in life that drive me & everything I do because we all deserve to celebrate every special moment in our lives…

This Soba Tom Yum Noodle dish, inspired by @chriss This Soba Tom Yum Noodle dish, inspired by @chrissyteigen recipe wouldn’t be considered traditional but it does celebrate the beautiful Thai flavors I love. I’ll take all the spice & lemongrass please🍜😋!! It’s certainly become a staple of mine, one I’ve recreated several times & I highly recommend you save in your back pocket because it will leave you craving more...& more!!

I used to post lots of recipes on the blog ‘til weddings/events/design took center stage & hoping to do so more again. Get this recipe on the blog now!
I read something yesterday, that made me instantly I read something yesterday, that made me instantly stop & reflect..."Some people think that having Hope makes you naive, but in my mind, it's so much harder to choose Hope over being angry or frustrated..." As someone who considers herself quite a hopeful person, I've had this on my mind since. Let's not confuse Hope w. toxic positivity {in which negative feelings or hardships are pushed aside}, when there is Hope, we still acknowledge our worries, the drawbacks of life, the sadness but still know that there is good.

We've all been doing our best nearing a year into this pandemic; the lives lost, families broken, the uncertain long-term issues, jobs, livelihoods disrupted & most recently too many people to count, struggling after a natural disaster. My heart breaks & is w. all of you, but despite the darkness, what I've also seen during these trying times...is Hope & Love. Communities & strangers coming together to help one another however way they can, even when they too are struggling to get by. That right there, is Hope. Be gentle with yourself, be gentle w. those around you. We’re all doing the best we can🤍
