Last of Summer Loves

Yes, I know Fall is coming. I know that summer technically isn’t over until the 23rd, but the mindset and lifestyle you take on during this season, has been put on the back-burner for another year of school and full-time schedules since Labor Day. With trees already turning its beautiful colors of brown and oranges, and Halloween…

Traveling to…Liberty State Park

January 16, 2014 · 1 Comment

The sun was still young on our way home from here, so we decided to take a spontaneous drive to Liberty State Park in time to catch the sun set over New York City. I hadn’t been here in a few years and was pretty amazed at how close the Statue of Liberty, downtown NYC…

Traveling To…Gates Pass

November 26, 2013 · 3 Comments

It took me almost a year, but on my last night in Arizona I grabbed the dogs for a ride to Gates Pass, one of the most well-known places in Tucson to watch the sunset. There’s nothing I enjoy more than a sunset. No matter what kind of day I may have, they always seem…

Chasing Sunsets

June 27, 2013 · 2 Comments

I was doing a bit of organizing this past weekend and decided to edit some of my photographs. I ended up finding these from my parents’ last day here in Tucson. I brought them to La Encatada, an architecturally beautiful outdoor shopping area with great restaurants, a place I enjoy coming on my own, just…

Longing for the Sun

September 5, 2012 · 8 Comments

“Sun is shining, the weather is sweet. Make you want to move your dancing feet.” I woke up feeling very nostalgic this morning, of one of the best places I’ve ever traveled to…Jamaica. I refuse to accept that Summer is over because well it’s not, even if Mother Nature has decided to grace us with torrential…

The End of Summer

September 3, 2012 · Leave a Comment

Happy Labor Day! Actually there’s nothing happy about my least favorite holiday because it marks the official end of summer. Summer is more than beach days and barbecues, it’s the carefree spirit that sets it apart from the other seasons. Lazy days, fresh fruits and vegetables and spontaneous trips will now slowly disappear to daily…

Dreamery Headshot_2020

A Lover of Nature & Kindness, constantly smitten by the simple pleasures of life. Travel fills my soul with bliss & inspiration. Flowers are my weakness, a slice of homemade pie makes my heart sing. I love the outdoors & live for al fresco dinner parties, cozy candlelit romantic affairs with warm fires & blankets to share.

I dream about these things, it’s true. Yes, it’s all the small details in life that drive me & everything I do because we all deserve to celebrate every special moment in our lives…

This Soba Tom Yum Noodle dish, inspired by @chriss This Soba Tom Yum Noodle dish, inspired by @chrissyteigen recipe wouldn’t be considered traditional but it does celebrate the beautiful Thai flavors I love. I’ll take all the spice & lemongrass please🍜😋!! It’s certainly become a staple of mine, one I’ve recreated several times & I highly recommend you save in your back pocket because it will leave you craving more...& more!!

I used to post lots of recipes on the blog ‘til weddings/events/design took center stage & hoping to do so more again. Get this recipe on the blog now!
I read something yesterday, that made me instantly I read something yesterday, that made me instantly stop & reflect..."Some people think that having Hope makes you naive, but in my mind, it's so much harder to choose Hope over being angry or frustrated..." As someone who considers herself quite a hopeful person, I've had this on my mind since. Let's not confuse Hope w. toxic positivity {in which negative feelings or hardships are pushed aside}, when there is Hope, we still acknowledge our worries, the drawbacks of life, the sadness but still know that there is good.

We've all been doing our best nearing a year into this pandemic; the lives lost, families broken, the uncertain long-term issues, jobs, livelihoods disrupted & most recently too many people to count, struggling after a natural disaster. My heart breaks & is w. all of you, but despite the darkness, what I've also seen during these trying times...is Hope & Love. Communities & strangers coming together to help one another however way they can, even when they too are struggling to get by. That right there, is Hope. Be gentle with yourself, be gentle w. those around you. We’re all doing the best we can🤍
Finding it a bit hard to stay positive today…in Finding it a bit hard to stay positive today…in truth the state of our planet weighs heavily on me daily, but especially these last few days knowing that millions of people are struggling to have the basic necessities of staying warm & having running water in their own home. It’s baffling. But this is the sad reality that we have created as humans. Decades of corporations, governments & leaders choosing profits over the value & quality of human life & of every living organism necessary to make our ecosystems thrive.

No, not the happiest of posts, but it’s honesty. We have created the rise in repeated natural disasters, pandemics & rare diseases. And until we hold these people accountable & collectively make drastic changes, then we will continue to have these in more severe cases — so yes, more diseases, more crazy things happening to our environment & the places we love. We have created this change & it’s severely impacted every facet of our lives & future.

My heart is w. everyone struggling right now, because this shouldn’t be happening. Please stay safe, check on your neighbors & loved ones. Help however way you can🤍
