Traveling To…Gates Pass

November 26, 2013 · 3 Comments

It took me almost a year, but on my last night in Arizona I grabbed the dogs for a ride to Gates Pass, one of the most well-known places in Tucson to watch the sunset. There’s nothing I enjoy more than a sunset. No matter what kind of day I may have, they always seem…

Casino Del Sol Tasting

August 28, 2013 · Leave a Comment

Casino Del Sol Resort will be the host of the Big Brothers Big Sisters of Tucson’s 50th Anniversary Gala. A memorable night of great entertainment, delicious food provided by very talented chefs who made this tasting possible paired with tasty cocktails, and a spectacular silent auction. I’m honored to be a part of planning a milestone…

Traveling To…Mt. Lemmon {Part 2}

June 16, 2013 · 4 Comments

Happy Father’s Day to the one dad that’s been there through every science project and math homework, the genius of a handyman I can only aspire to be, and along with my grandfather the garden guru who I constantly seek advice for my budding flowers. He’s been to every high school musical, crew race in…

Can you believe that we’re halfway through the year, and it’s June already? I still can’t seem to fathom that my twenty-fourth birthday is just a few days away. I can’t help but look back at all the places I’ve been, people I’ve met, and things I hadn’t done before. I remember excitedly packing my…

I’ve enjoyed life this week, taken a step back and stopped worrying about the littlest of things, and just let them run their course. To be honest, I feel so much more carefree, relaxed, and creatively inspired. I finally got my motivation back, yes it most definitely is the warm weather, but I also began reading the Passion…

This week was about focusing on the good and positive of life. I decided that if you do one little thing that makes you “you” each day, like taking 10 minutes of your evening to replant a flower bed that has out grown its home, then you’ll lead a more fulfilling and happy life. It’s…

Tasting Tucson {El Charro Cafe}

April 30, 2013 · Leave a Comment

There’s no shortage of authentic Mexican and local farm supported spots to savor a good meal in Tucson. Before moving out here, I would’ve never expected this to be such a foodie town, but am pleasantly surprised when I encounter new favorites that are casual, yet have a bit of character. Places you’d want to…

The beauty of life is that there is something new to do and see every day. Well, it’s been an interesting ride of life to say the least, a two month journey where I went to new places, like Tumamoc Hill, did new things, like go to my first Cowboy Pig Roast, made new friends,…

Traveling to…Sentinel Peak “A” Mountain

April 2, 2013 · Leave a Comment

It’s been over a month since I took my first trip up to Sentinel Peak “A” Mountain, better known as the Big A, with Brittany and the pups. After spending afternoons on the balcony overlooking the Big A in the far distance I finally got to be beside it, overlooking downtown Tucson, and our apartment.  In…

Tasting Tucson {Yoshimatsu}

February 11, 2013 · 1 Comment

The new year brought upon a dining out series for The Dreamery but I’ve been messing around a title that fit just right…well until I came up with Tasting Tucson. Thought it was fitting since I’ve been getting to know Tucson a whole lot, just by eating at a new restaurant. Hands down one of my favorites,…

I love the outdoors & live for al fresco dinner parties, cozy candlelit romantic affairs with warm fires & blankets to share.

I dream about these things, it’s true. Yes, it’s all the small details in life that drive me & everything I do because we all deserve to celebrate every special moment in our lives…

I’ve never been one to connect with the color pu I’ve never been one to connect with the color purple much, & yes I believe everyone connects to colors in certain ways. And yet, Clematis are some of my favorite flowers🌿

For a brief few Spring days each year, the garden is a vision of purples....deep rich violets that almost look black, their sheen like velvet, delicate lavenders & pretty mauves that flutter in the breeze. Nature is a true delight for the soul🤍

They’re calling for a too hot, too soon kind of weekend, but we’ll be surrounded w. love celebrating a special wedding at a lovely location! Hope this weekend brings you moments of rest & joy, that allow you to look at all that is blooming🌱…
tiny joyous things🌿 ... I try not to lose sight tiny joyous things🌿 ... I try not to lose sight of the fact I get to create & "work" w. beautiful flowers; one of the things I love so much & one of the joyful parts of creating & sharing my work w. others. But this whole social media thing is weird right, the world is weird & broken right now -- as creatives seems like are new age question is "do I post this pretty picture when this is really happening right now?! but it's also kind of my job to put my work out there for others to see, right?!" ... but I’m learning, funny enough, by some inspiring women on this platform, it's ok to feel all these things while also sharing the joyous, cool & helpful things we are all working on, creating & hoping to bring into this world. Life is filled w. beautiful & sad moments, happiness, joy, grief, fear, doubt, love. All the tiny things🤍

& if anyone watched last night's This is Us, how beautiful was their telling of one's final moments, looking back at life. Ugh my heart😢
There’s one word to describe the first full even There’s one word to describe the first full event of the season…ethereal🤍

Event season is in full swing & it’s nice to finally step aside from planning to bring all the ideas, time & details to life!
“We are like {blossoms}; holding on, letting go, “We are like {blossoms}; holding on, letting go, rising & falling into our weathered souls…” - Angie Weiland-Crosby🌼

May is the start of a busy few months of events, so I’m going to make sure I prioritize Rest whenever I can. But also plenty of garden days, living & cherishing simple moments — because when the busy days will feel like a blur or the state of the world (big/small) only adds to the mental drain, I know these will be the things that keep me going🤍
