Vacation

As you read this, I’ve been in Jamaica, soaking up the sun, the tranquility, and the vibe of this cool country. I can’t believe it’s been four years since my first time here in this exact spot. I knew the moment I was here last I would return back to this country, I fell in…

Traveling to…Fatima and Luso

October 10, 2012 · 1 Comment

After days of celebrations and rest, it was time to get back to some traveling to see family and friends before my dad returned home. Every year we come to Portugal, it’s tradition we visit the famous city of Fatima, where the Virgin Mary appeared to three pastor children. She is one of the most…

Traveling to…Lisbon

October 5, 2012 · 6 Comments

I’ve just returned from a few days of traveling to Lisbon, the capital of Portugal, to visit my uncle and aunt who live in the Charneca da Caparica. A quaint little neighborhood surrounded by pine trees and overflowing gardens, just a few minutes from the beach. It’s a three-hour drive from where I live in…

Traveling Essentials

October 1, 2012 · 3 Comments

I was bit by the traveling bug at birth, having been to Portugal almost 20 times, and from Jamaica to Lake George, endless New York City tripes, and a weekend back to my alma mater of  New England all just this summer! I’ve been in Portugal for nearly 2 days and I’ve already eaten 1…uhh 10 too many…

Traveling to…Portugal

September 28, 2012 · Leave a Comment

I’m off on new travels once again. This time my journey takes me to my dear country of Portugal. I can’t wait to spend 3 weeks in the mountains, surrounded with nothing but nature and farmland where I will pick grapes I make delicious wine. Cook with the freshest ingredients and eat the tastiest home…

Okay I admit it, I’m in denial!! Denial that summer really is gone, that everyone is back at school and we’re all indulging in our pumpkin spice lattes and getting our kitchens ready for endless apple recipes. The scary reality is that this magical warm sunny season means that there are only a few short…

Longing for the Sun

September 5, 2012 · 8 Comments

“Sun is shining, the weather is sweet. Make you want to move your dancing feet.” I woke up feeling very nostalgic this morning, of one of the best places I’ve ever traveled to…Jamaica. I refuse to accept that Summer is over because well it’s not, even if Mother Nature has decided to grace us with torrential…

What a week it’s been so far! I can’t believe it’s Friday already, not to mention the last day of August!! This summer has flown by in a blink of an eye, I’m guessing it’s because I’ve just been enjoying it to the fullest, which is how it should be. My Labor Day weekend started…

Traveling to…Lake George

August 6, 2012 · 5 Comments

“Life is for deep kisses, strange adventures, midnight swims and rambling conversations.” I stumbled upon this quote this morning and it instantly spoke to me. Life, especially summer, is about carefree adventures and relaxing days surrounded by people who make you happy. I had such a wonderful weekend in Lake George with my best friend…

Happy Birthday Avo

July 18, 2012 · 4 Comments

Today is my Avô Lino’s birthday and he’s 81!! {Avô is grandfather in Portuguese} I’d give anything to be in Portugal right now with my entire family, eating a fresh and delicious dinner outside as the sun sets beyond the mountains, while singing “Happy Birthday” as he blows whatever flavor cake he wanted me to…

Dreamery Headshot_2020

A Lover of Nature & Kindness, constantly smitten by the simple pleasures of life. Travel fills my soul with bliss & inspiration. Flowers are my weakness, a slice of homemade pie makes my heart sing. I love the outdoors & live for al fresco dinner parties, cozy candlelit romantic affairs with warm fires & blankets to share.

I dream about these things, it’s true. Yes, it’s all the small details in life that drive me & everything I do because we all deserve to celebrate every special moment in our lives…

This Soba Tom Yum Noodle dish, inspired by @chriss This Soba Tom Yum Noodle dish, inspired by @chrissyteigen recipe wouldn’t be considered traditional but it does celebrate the beautiful Thai flavors I love. I’ll take all the spice & lemongrass please🍜😋!! It’s certainly become a staple of mine, one I’ve recreated several times & I highly recommend you save in your back pocket because it will leave you craving more...& more!!

I used to post lots of recipes on the blog ‘til weddings/events/design took center stage & hoping to do so more again. Get this recipe on the blog now!
I read something yesterday, that made me instantly I read something yesterday, that made me instantly stop & reflect..."Some people think that having Hope makes you naive, but in my mind, it's so much harder to choose Hope over being angry or frustrated..." As someone who considers herself quite a hopeful person, I've had this on my mind since. Let's not confuse Hope w. toxic positivity {in which negative feelings or hardships are pushed aside}, when there is Hope, we still acknowledge our worries, the drawbacks of life, the sadness but still know that there is good.

We've all been doing our best nearing a year into this pandemic; the lives lost, families broken, the uncertain long-term issues, jobs, livelihoods disrupted & most recently too many people to count, struggling after a natural disaster. My heart breaks & is w. all of you, but despite the darkness, what I've also seen during these trying times...is Hope & Love. Communities & strangers coming together to help one another however way they can, even when they too are struggling to get by. That right there, is Hope. Be gentle with yourself, be gentle w. those around you. We’re all doing the best we can🤍
