Valentine’s Day Style

February 10, 2014 · Leave a Comment

Whether you’ve got a dinner date with a new love, a romantic night in with your lover, cocktails with the girls, or cozying up by yourself with a glass wine watching the Olympics, in my eye Valentine’s Day style is about being pretty. Showcasing a more feminine side, either in a sultry way with a…

Friday Favorites {Valentine’s Edition}

February 7, 2014 · Leave a Comment

I’ll admit I was never one for Valentine’s Day, seeing it as a highly commercialized holiday and if you really love someone you show them everyday but I’ve been so inspired by lovely images that I definitely got into the spirit of this lovely holiday. I even created this Sweet Valentine’s Day tabletop, along with…

Cupid’s Arrow Place Cards

February 6, 2014 · 1 Comment

The age-old story tells us of Cupid, who would shoot his iconic arrow on those looking for love on Valentine’s Day. Although, we know it as a cute story, I did want to incorporate the symbolic arrow of love in my Valentine’s Day tabletop. These arrows are fun and festive, and so simple to make. I…

Valentine’s Day Cards

February 4, 2014 · Leave a Comment

There are certain parts of Valentine’s Day that I don’t like, as in commercialized greeting cards, which is why there isn’t a better way to spread love than with a handmade card. All you need is beautiful card stock in lovely colors and patterns cut in different sizes, paper dollies for a pretty lace effect, glittered…

A Sweet Valentine's Tabletop

There is something so romantic about February. The weather calls for cozy nights, the year still fresh, and perfectly timed for us to open our hearts and share love. Of course some of it is in part to do with Valentine’s Day. Whether you’re single or happily taken, it’s not just about romanticism, it’s a special day…

Happy Lover’s Day!

February 14, 2013 · Leave a Comment

Oh Valentine’s Day…the day for lovers and non lovers, the singles and couples, and for those who just can’t quite explain it, a day to just be bitter. I don’t typically favor this day, no I’m not a Valentine’s Day hater, just haven’t really gotten into the spirit of it…I guess I can enjoy it…

Dreamery Headshot_2020

A Lover of Nature & Kindness, constantly smitten by the simple pleasures of life. Travel fills my soul with bliss & inspiration. Flowers are my weakness, a slice of homemade pie makes my heart sing. I love the outdoors & live for al fresco dinner parties, cozy candlelit romantic affairs with warm fires & blankets to share.

I dream about these things, it’s true. Yes, it’s all the small details in life that drive me & everything I do because we all deserve to celebrate every special moment in our lives…

This Soba Tom Yum Noodle dish, inspired by @chriss This Soba Tom Yum Noodle dish, inspired by @chrissyteigen recipe wouldn’t be considered traditional but it does celebrate the beautiful Thai flavors I love. I’ll take all the spice & lemongrass please🍜😋!! It’s certainly become a staple of mine, one I’ve recreated several times & I highly recommend you save in your back pocket because it will leave you craving more...& more!!

I used to post lots of recipes on the blog ‘til weddings/events/design took center stage & hoping to do so more again. Get this recipe on the blog now!
I read something yesterday, that made me instantly I read something yesterday, that made me instantly stop & reflect..."Some people think that having Hope makes you naive, but in my mind, it's so much harder to choose Hope over being angry or frustrated..." As someone who considers herself quite a hopeful person, I've had this on my mind since. Let's not confuse Hope w. toxic positivity {in which negative feelings or hardships are pushed aside}, when there is Hope, we still acknowledge our worries, the drawbacks of life, the sadness but still know that there is good.

We've all been doing our best nearing a year into this pandemic; the lives lost, families broken, the uncertain long-term issues, jobs, livelihoods disrupted & most recently too many people to count, struggling after a natural disaster. My heart breaks & is w. all of you, but despite the darkness, what I've also seen during these trying times...is Hope & Love. Communities & strangers coming together to help one another however way they can, even when they too are struggling to get by. That right there, is Hope. Be gentle with yourself, be gentle w. those around you. We’re all doing the best we can🤍
