This week and month is all about Love. Though everyday should be one to celebrate and spread as much love as possible, it is always nice to do a little something sweet and pretty to truly show someone how much you love them, and even yourself. Celebrating Valentine’s day doesn’t have to be a stressful over the top holiday, personally I found the best way to really spread the love is to keep things simple – decorate with pretty things you already have, light endless romantic candles, pick up lovely fresh flowers, and serve up some sweet French macarons.
This Valentine’s day styling is simple elegance at its best, with plenty of tiny details to make this spread a sweet surprise, for a love, the girls or in my case, a sweet treat to myself after a hectic month. See all the pretty details below, and get inspired to spread some sweet loving this Valentine’s Day….
There’s a fine line between vintage elegance and modern boho whimsy, and this styling combines each look so perfectly, as if was they were made for each other. Acrylic pieces with beautiful quotes from John Legend’s “All of Me,” the epitome of of a love song, blended with rattan, antique mercury glasses, classic and modern gold candles, and romantic flowers….So many different styles, yet everything comes together in perfect harmony to create a beautiful styling.
In part, that’s what love really is too; a union of two different people, characteristics and traits. And if you’re single, self-love is one in the same, it’s about acknowledging and appreciating all the tiny elements that come together to create your beautiful self.
It helps to have just the right pieces to complete this vintage French look, so get creative with furniture you have around the house to setup this dessert spread or simply display your flowers and gifts. By hanging a simple sheer fabric on the wall {with command hooks!} you easily transform your Valentine’s day into an ultra romantic afternoon.
Since I’m a big believer that Valentine’s day shouldn’t in any way be a big spending or stressful holiday, this styling is all about the dainty sweet French Macarons and bold espresso. Because who doesn’t love a delicate macaron and really good coffee, this girl!!
A sprinkling of rose petals, how romantic…..
“A rose by any other name, would smell just as sweet.” William Shakespeare
To complete this look pull out all the pretty things you have in your home; cake stands, vintage tea cups, candle sticks and maybe a flowy piece of fabric. If you’re setting this up for a special someone and want to display their cp them a gift considering placing in your gift in a unique modern jewelry box or even spreading some healing crystals onto your table to promote even more tranquility and love.
This styling brought me so much joy and filled me with so much love, that I actually left it setup for a few days. And I that it will make any special someone know just how much you love them!
Wishing everyone a LOVE-filled week!!
