There is often pleasure in the waiting for things to unfold … and then there are other times when the waiting continues for far too long because of things one cannot control. That was the case for Elsa and Michael‘s wedding, which due to the Covid pandemic not only postponed their original wedding date for 2020 but then again their rescheduled date in 2021 to July of 2022 — when they could finally have the celebration of their dreams with all their loved ones, from near and far. And what a party it was, with the groom entering the reception celebration doing the worm, yes, the worm! It almost doesn’t seem real to think we first met over four years ago to discuss the flowers and style of their wedding.
Yet it was just like yesterday witnessing the special and fun love between these two, and discussing our first order of business — incorporating the color red in a modern yet romantic way, a nod to the groom’s beloved soccer team from Portugal, Benfica. I’m all for making your wedding your own which celebrates your personality and loves. Red, a color often times challenging to work with and one still used quite restrictedly within event decor, so we wanted to do something different yet romantic with it.
