A vision of flowers in colorful muted gems and vintage-like fabrics, Nadya’s Baptism was an asymmetrically modern floral affair. A design and style set not for only the youngest of us, but for as we grow and navigate life’s celebratory occasions too, through different colors and decor preferences. For Nadya’s late October party we wanted a neutral classic design that was modern enough to stay fresh for years to come.
Zeiena, a great treasure finder, spotted these arched wooden window pieces so we displayed them on an aged textured wall — decorated alongside billows of florals and candles. Each wooden window secured with mini hooks displayed the scent bars that served as guest favors, but also their table card. Once favors came down, guests had a guest corner to take photo all throughout the party.
The florals, the invite and stationery designs, the shapes of backdrops…it all meant to feel like it blurs the line of modern vintage.
Florals blended dried lunaria, fern, baby’s breath mixed in with the fresh version, roses, ranunculus, anthurium and other tidbits. The stationery used simplistic font and elegant minimalist scripts in golds, dusty mauves and creams. There are raw and curved arched edges, chiffon pieces, and uniquely framed pressed flower numbers.
Each setting adorned with cards that lovingly showcased all those looks. Pretty handmade paper cards by Papier and Design. Mini bundles of dried blooms secured into a corner with metallic cross clips.
The cake display was certainly the prettiest sight. A sweetly decorated cake by Carsan Artisan, atop a dreamy fabric and fluted table was surrounded atop and along its side, down to the floor were flowers installed in shapes and heights transformed it into a display the eyes could not stop to admire.
Along the room, we created a pretty corned for beautifully decorated sugar cookies. As well as a display for Nadya’s Guest Book, Candle and Card box.
