Living in an online world as we do, sometimes we connect with people and artists over years who then feel like longtime friends; and yet we never actually “meet.” That was the case for Angela and I, first connecting in 2018 for a client’s wedding, when she was illustrating and creating custom pieces. And so time passed, constantly inspired by each other’s work. Until one day when she reached out about collaborating on the design for a motherhood shoot she was creating. Her creativity now led her to pursue her passion of photography with Angela Beth Studio, and I couldn’t pass on the chance of finally teaming up for a project.
Being perfectly timed with Mother’s Day and Spring’s first burst of flowers, we wanted the design to naturally embrace the season. Flowers were to feel soft and organic, as if blooming from the ground itself. Nothing too rustic, vintage or high-end feeling, and very much drawn to woven materials while being effortless enough to setup in a short amount of time.
A designed space, mothers could calmly immerse themselves with their darling children amongst beautiful spring flowers. Organic and simple, yet full of life. Flowers were arranged in vintage baskets, intertwined with grounding woods and woven textiles. And the open space at Meadow View Studio was just perfect for our styling.

Our biggest intention, along with it being a soft color palette, was that our display be interactive. I approached every element in a way that was playful for all ages. Flowers were not arranged in constraining mechanics, instead all flowing loosely so each child was wholeheartedly encouraged to pick, smell and arrange their own floral bundles…in yes, Ice Cream Cones! We hung tulips upside from a petite flower stand, appearing as if floating in the air — it added just the right touch of whimsy.
It was early Spring, but the details felt as perfect for welcoming Summer. Baskets of blooms as if just picked from a field of flowers, where a picnic is calling one to sit, and simply be. Ice cream cones and a playful stand, will make any one of us rejoice with the childhood anticipation for the carefree long days of summer.

When creatives connect at their core, magic always happens. Whether it’s working with us at Dreamery for your weddings, event, florals, intimate dinner or styling a design — the Intention is always to create a moment in time. A simple, yet profound one that lingers within us, in all the best ways. And I can say the same goes for working with Angela. You can read more about Angela’s work, but more so the intention and heart behind her vision here.
Angela lovingly captured me in my element…amongst the flowers, creating moments that bring glimmers of joy to others. Behind every detail and moment captured, Intentionality always at its root. And I can thank Angela enough for capturing these memories.
I hope you enjoy all the details we created…
