Have you been relishing in your beautiful and magical holiday home decor for a few weeks, or are you still waiting to get the perfect tree to deck. Whether your home is totally decorated, one thing is for certain, holiday entertaining and parties will be a plenty! My family was lucky enough to have our uncle and aunt visiting from Portugal, so we had several impromptu dinners and family get-togethers. Plus, I also teamed up with my cousin to host a holiday fundraiser party, which I can’t wait to share with you later this week. Along with other client event work, my time was limited, especially for decorating all these unexpected dinner parties. I needed decorating and hosting ideas that were not only quick to put together, but also extremely cost effective, as in using what I already had.
And so on a sunny Saturday morning a few days before Thanksgiving I quickly put together this styling using items I had already gathered to decorate the house. I was a bit surprised at my choice of red accents, as its not a color I tend to be drawn towards, but I love its subtle seasonal richness and is a lovely pop against plenty of whites, natural greens and glistening metallics.

I picked up these lovely white ceramic houses before Thanksgiving in the Bullseye section of Target, good ole Target. It was one of the few items I bought this season, but they have become my favorite pieces. Aren’t they just adorable, and add such a cozy feel to any space when paired with pinecones and fresh winter greens.
Think pieces you already have in your home, like a Buddha head or statement party necklace need to be tucked away? Think again, how lovely do these pieces looked with all the holiday decor, it’s unique but fun and adds a personal touch in a whimsical boho way.
That’s what I did in my bedroom and my boho christmas tree. When decorating for the holidays in your home, use that room’s current style as the inspiration and play it up. My bedroom is light airy and boho, so I used some those pieces and added a bit of holiday and winter. You can never go wrong with candles, pinecones and lights…
Paper snowflakes are always festive and fun. IT’s something so classic, and easily done. All you need is paper and scissors. I was lucky enough to find these beautiful 3D hanging snowflakes at Target a few years ago, and it’s by far my favorite piece to decorate with. You can make a garland with your snowflakes for a bar cart or mantel, or turn your dining room chandelier into a magical winter installation.
Doesn’t this already beautiful foraged wreath look even more stunning with the simple addition of ribbon and silk flowers. Well, I guess when the ribbon is the delicate and pretty Silk and Willow ribbon, and the faux flowers are gorge peonies that look so real!
In a normal setting, a pile of boxes and spilt ribbon would be a mess but when the boxes are pretty Sugar Paper pieces, and the loveliest ribbons in shades and patterns of every metallic, this pile becomes festive and creative holiday decor.
I’m not a fan of the color red, so it’s really surprising that I’m so obsessed with this styling!
I was literally debating just keeping all this styled on my dresser buffet because I just loved it so much! I’m still debating setting it all back up again for the next two weeks.
Hope this pretty styled shoot inspires your holiday entertaining this season!
