Wedding Inspiration : Vintage Stationery & Wax Seals

We’re ever so slightly finding ourselves in a midsummer’s haze and engaged couples who are getting married in early spring or summer of next year, have most likely gotten the big things crossed off their lists and are starting to plan the decor and pretty details. One of the first things to begin thinking about when considering your style and vendor options, is your Stationery!! Whether it’s your Save the Date or complete Invitation set, some thought and specifications have to be involved, but when it comes to its style and design, the world is your oyster.

And the new wedding trend, or shall we say a nod to another time, is the look of antique paper with calligraphy and pretty wax seals. It’s a return to the writing past, a vintage look that can easily go with many wedding styles from classic and romantic, to boho and whimsical garden!

Have you noticed a trend? I’m clearing smitten over blushes and earthy greens…Personally I don’t see this stationery trend going anywhere, for the vintage loving person, like myself, I’m completely in love and can’t get enough of all the details!!

“To wonder is to be alive. To create wonder is to “To wonder is to be alive. To create wonder is to live.”

I can’t remember where I read this quote but it stuck with me, especially as we flow deeper into autumn.

I actually think the inspiration we connect with this season might be the most personal. We are all drawn differently to the complex textures and feelings autumn brings. And there’s is something quite wonderous when we create with the seasonal elements as they call us, especially when unexpected this time of year — whether it be in a color palette or style. It’s the art of presence in the everyday and embracing it in what we create and share with others…what a special thing that is🍃🌼

AUTUMN... the season of harvest, of preparing and AUTUMN...
the season of harvest, of preparing and easing into the colder months ahead...

but before then, we still gather the last of the garden’s gifts; the flowers and edible elements to cherish and preserve for shorter sunlit days that await us. When soon, we sink into a comfort illuminated by candles.....and yet the start of autumn never feels the same.

it can happen all at once when greens suddenly deepen and make space for the fiery reds, magnetic yellows and auburns are enveloped with a breeze that evokes the feeling of a new season. And yet, it can evolve ever so slowly, with greens remaining vibrant beneath the still sun intense, and it’s the distinctly bold but fleeting golden hour that reminds us that autumn has befallen us once more🍂

…styled moments from last year…
