The sky was bright blue, the sun shining, a welcoming brisk breeze filled the air…it was definitely a picturesque Autumn day to celebrate the marriage of Jane and Michael! If the beautiful weather wasn’t enough of a lovely sign, then the calmness of the day certainly was. Longtime friends, family from near and far gathered and reveled in the endearing love these two have for one another. Through the hardships, the laughs, the joys, the simple pleasures in life — you can instantly feel that Jane and Michael’s love is real. I mean look at all the emotion in Michael’s face reading the very personal words his now wife wrote to him, or the moment the church doors opened to reveal his stunning love!
Brian Delia and his photography and videography team did a beautiful job of bringing to life the intimate closeness from their relationship with one another, and their loved ones, that was so prominently felt on their wedding day. There are plenty of simple but personal and pretty details to be enjoyed, so scroll through to see all the special moments from Jane and Michael’s early Autumn wedding…..
It was early October, a lovely time of year to both showcase the boldness of Autumn but also the softness of the end of summer. Jane’s bouquet beautifully put together by More than a Gift, perfectly encapsulates the vision and look we were going for their wedding. Bright and cheery peach roses blended with pale and romantic blushes, fragrant eucalyptus greens and a pop of rich deep burgundy dahlias to bring it all together.
The color scheme continued on with the bridesmaids who were dressed in elegant blush pink dresses, while the maids of honor, wore the rich burgundy versions. Jane was a gorgeous vision in vintage inspired beauty! A far-from-simple floral lace embroidered gown, beautifully paired with a show stopping veil and vintage glamour curls, makeup and jewels!
And let’s not forget the groom…Michael was quite the handsome dapper in a perfectly fitted navy suit and black bow tie, fit for any glamorous vintage affair!
Jane and Michael’s vision for simple vintage and classic details were carried throughout the decor. The flowers and centerpieces mimicked Jane’s bouquet with an extra dose of fluffy white Hydrangea and beautifully draped Amaranth atop grand pedestals, as if plucked right out of a stunning affair from another time period.
Guests were greeted to a champagne entrance, and a beautiful and sentimental table showcasing a walk down memory lane with cherished photographs of Jane and Michael’s engagement, their parents’ weddings and an in memoriam for departed loved ones.
We had some fun with their seating chart display!! Jane loves a floral wall, and decided a greenery wall would be the perfect backdrop to display table lists resembling the invitation suite and menu cards with blush and burgundy blooms complimenting the color palette. Once every guest found their seat and began enjoying their first course, the table lists came down and they were greeted with a photo backdrop to have fun snapping photographs, which almost every guest enjoyed!!
A pop of modern touches were added with their 3D printed #PerfectlyPreguiça signs and acrylic card box, as well as simple gold wooden table numbers and individual guest favors that were replaced with framed signs placed at each table indicating the couple would be making a very generous donation to the Brain and Behavior Research Foundation, in honor of Michael’s father recent health setbacks.
Oh but guests were treated to plenty of goodies! Along with the delicious food served by The Royal Manor, the upbeat fun music DJ’d by POSH Entertainment and the Portuguese accordion and rancho dancing session; guests were given flip flops to ease their dancing feet, an added enclosed Photo Booth, an elaborate dessert hour with candy stations, donut walls and made to order zeppoles! And in the final hour, a display of traditional Portuguese bifana sandwiches provided by the NJ famed No Pão were put out for guests to enjoy as a late night treat or take home to enjoy the next morning.
The love and attention to meaningful details was certainly felt throughout Jane and Michael’s wedding!
Wishing Jane and Michael many more years of special moments filled with endless love and happiness to celebrate!!
