1 Corinthians 13:4-5: “Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs.”
When I think of life, I think of how fragile it can be and I remind myself to never take you for granted. You are every reason, every hope and every dream I have ever had….everyday we are together is the greatest day of my life. I love you.
Are you already swooning after reading these beautiful and heartfelt vows our gorgeous bride Ana so lovingly shared with her groom Jonathan? When I first met this sweet and endearing couple, I knew their love was as genuine and supportive as can be! Classic and vintage details we’re all we were dreaming up — the kind of wedding that perfectly embodied the stunning details of The Crystal Plaza, a beautiful space so reminiscent of a ballroom found in the glamorous setting of Downtown Abbey.
And so on a gorgeous June day, classic vintage and enchanting woodsy details, blended with endless romantic candlelight and unique nods to the groom’s love of cars…and Ana and Jonathan finally said “I Do!”
Marcelo Valente and his team of photographers and videographers, captured so much emotion and beauty in these portraits, and all his photos! You can instantly feel the love every family member and friend have for each other, but especially for Ana and Jonathan.
The bride’s love of classic and simple romantic colors delicately shined! Bridesmaids in dainty blush dresses that flowed in the wind, the dapper men in soft grey suits, and the gorgeous bride in her intricate beaded gown and grand veil that was a showstopper!!!
More than a Gift did such a beautiful job making those romantic colors pop! With a lovely blend of blush, cream and lavender roses and lots, and lots, of fragrant and enchanting Eucalyptus — it made the already gorgeous June day, even more breathtaking!!
Let’s talk about all the vintage details….starting off with this show-stopping vintage mirror!! This is one piece the couple knew they wanted to incorporate right from the start, and I can’t blame them! It was a stunning welcome to guests, a perfect showcase of their love of classic vintage decor. But it was the perfect way to incorporate those personal touches and the groom’s love of cars, particularly BMWs. Guests were asked to “find their parking spots” at tables numbered with specific BMW series titles.
Rows of candlelight guided guests to an entrance table adorned with more enchanting flowers, now made even more romantic with billows and billows of white hydrangea! Beautiful engagement photos were on display, as well as a rustic cluster of wooden crates that were filled with homemade jam jars made by the couple’s family friend. I love how we mixed woodsy elements with hints of vintage glamour — a beautiful marriage of styles, if I say so!
You might be asking why is there a motorcycle helmet on display? Another unique and personal detail for Jonathan’s love of cars. The helmet served as the couple’s guestbook which is now a cherished piece displayed in their home.
And this is how you welcome guests to a cocktail hour! With a beautiful display of champagne glasses ready to be filled with bubbly and shared with love!! The couple and their parents worked on this together; building, painting and adding in a bit of those charming greens.
The Crystal Plaza ballroom is one of those spaces where the details speak for themselves!! If your wedding vision is vintage, classic, 1920’s Downtown Abbey or Great Gastby, this place is the epitome of it. With so many beautiful and breathtaking architectural details, the space transports you back in time without having to add in any extra decor. Although, it doesn’t hurt to dress it up with even more romantic flowers or the oh-so pretty wooden cake swing display from CloDecor, which we transformed into a true magical woodland sweet display!
The real stunner, that cake! Made by Giodocinhos, the same family friend who handmade all the jam favors. A grand-tiered beauty with gilded and marble-like details that mimicked the detailing seen throughout The Crystal Plaza.
One of the most special, intriguing and exciting elements of Ana and Jonathan’s wedding was certainly their live wedding painter. Maggie Smith Kuhn was such a delight and what an amazing artist! Guests would stop to peak and see her masterpiece at work. The way she transformed everyone’s emotion, the ambience and feeling of their wedding night was simply amazing. It’s certainly something very special to have at your wedding, but even more beautiful to be able to cherish for years to come!
Guests danced and reveled well into the night…there was certainly no shortage of love and fun on Ana and Jonathan’s classic vintage inspired wedding!!
