There are certain design styles that are deemed classic, whether they incorporate details that veer more on the vintage side or on the modern and sleek. The palette naturally evokes that lovely versatility that lends itself well to any type of occasion. Celebrating the arrival of a baby boy or special event, like a 1st birthday or one that honors their culture, or perhaps a couple planning their wedding who simply loves the color blue and beauty of a French garden. These styling details are the inspiration for just that … a lush floral garden getaway, with simple but intentional details that make an impact all while showcasing the loveliest hues of French Blue …..
The flowers inspired by a blooming garden with white larkspur, ranunculus and roses, wild forest greens and prettiest Delphinium. Delphinium is a delicate romantic flower that comes in varying tones of blue from light, to true blue and ones with violet hues.
Seating chart displays work best when they are a versatile element of an event. When guests arrive it becomes the first piece they see your design vision come to life. A great way to make its function multi-use is to have table cards onto favors as well. Once guests take their gift, your seating chart display can now work as a beautiful backdrop for photos.
That is exactly what we did with this Baby Sprinkles Shower … a display of handmade scented bars tied with delicate ribbon and seating tags that matched the invitation. The vision was to create a darling corner of an old French chateau — the textured wall rich with history, an aged indescribable beauty with vintage shutters and the prettiest blue and white flowers in full bloom, as if having naturally grown from the ground.

Table numbers can be simple and still uniquely special, like using antique papers, commonly referred to as deckle edge or handmade. Placed onto lovely little floral pins, it instantly gives that romantic vintage feel and yet modern all the same. A mixture of etched glass vessels with textured candles, blue bottles with sprigs of blooms and a vintage mailbox used as a card box.
Activities at showers or a kid party are a complete personal preference, so when creating the stationery design for these elements and others, such as Menu Cards, look into minimalist ways that continue your design story. In this styling, the watercolor design of baby booties was added once more, with navy blue fabric remnants that were hand-ripped and tied onto each corner.
The cake was a delicate nod to the texture of an aged blue wall, and the sugar cookies, beautifully decorated to continue this tale of a soft French blue garden.
When it comes to styling any event, especially one with a distinct vision, what works best is to make sure your design tells an intentional story that is carried throughout every element, even the smallest detail ……
