Creating an Intentional Summer Harvest Tablescape

…the story of our summer harvest table… As the spinach grew and grew, draping along garden the path, I envisioned it draping around candlesticks… as baskets filled with vibrant red, orange and yellow tomatoes, and the green cucumbers and beans spilled onto the hands that harvested them… as the physalis and grapes burst with the…

Winter Florals…Romanticizing Dried Stems & Simple Details

February 25, 2026 · Leave a Comment

It has been one of the snowiest winters here in New Jersey, and despite trying to stay creative, lighting all the candles, sketching and keepings things simple — I’m feeling the winter lull. Just as we finally saw the green tips of grass and the garden unearthed after far too long, came another massive blanket…

The Season of Styled Quinces and Texture

November 17, 2025 · Leave a Comment

Autumn is the crisp morning air and golden sun that lingers with remnants of warmth. It’s the rustle of leaves as they float off branches and crunch beneath our feet. Autumn beckons us indoors, where we are drawn to the quiet rituals that fill these months. To the flicker of candlelight and nestling under knit…

Floral Inspiration :: Delightful Cosmos

October 15, 2025 · Leave a Comment

Flowers are language, poetry … a conduit for human connection…   Cosmos are some of my favorite flowers, especially in the garden where they always add a touch of whimsy and abundantly attract pollinators. They evoke that wildflower feeling and aesthetic when grown, but even more so when cut and styled. Cosmos are not meant…

Designing Florals with Fruits

September 2, 2025 · Leave a Comment

As the sun grows shorter and afternoons leisurely stretch into golden evenings, somewhere between the refreshing bites of sweet watermelon, tomatoes and the morning quiet…we find ourselves settled into the rhythm of summer. Summer Centerpieces :: Zinnias & Sunflowers

August 12, 2025 · Leave a Comment

There’s nothing quite like the kaleidoscope of summer Zinnias, with their magical frills and voluminous thrills. And if there was a flower to epitomize summer, it might just be the Sunflower. Grand and prominent, and as golden as the sun. The days may ever-so slowly be shortening, as we enter the last long stretch of…

Summer Florals :: Figs, Grapes & Herbs

July 28, 2025 · Leave a Comment

Figs fill me with memories of summers in Portugal, surrounded by farmlands and mountain views. Of a determined grandfather who’d stand watch of birds for hours, so we’d have plenty of fruit to savor. A reminder of a great love. Grapes bring back the images of sitting beneath the shady vines, watching as they changed…

Seven days immersing ourselves in flowers🌿🌼 Conne Seven days immersing ourselves in flowers🌿🌼
Connecting in nature, amongst foraged magic all around a quiet Portuguese village. It could not have been more idyllic.
We learned, we experimented and were encouraged to create with our intuition.
With each passing day our confidence, authentically reblooming.
With every floral piece arranged, the more they organically reflected who we are, and our stories. Each one distinctly ours, and yet collectively coming together.

Because what joy it is to work with flowers, but even more so to do it alongside others and then share it with the world✨

Sharing some reflections about our floral lessons during @chelseafussflowers retreat on Substack...

There is a certain kind of quiet when August begin There is a certain kind of quiet when August begins its end. Unlike any other stillness experienced throughout the year, it’s a distinct calmness that reminds us of summer’s final phase, how soon, it will all begin to change. It’s a quiet noticed slowly in the subtleties of life, when we pause long enough to admire it. And we bask in it because of how incredibly fleeting it is…

Fully summering because there are cosmos, zinnias, marigolds and cutleaf coneflowers still blooming🌼☀️🌸

Posy...a small bunch of simple, sweet-smelling flowers, sometimes large enough to fit in a jar or as small as fitting a pin on a jacket.

Posies became popular during the Victorian era, where they cleverly used the language of flowers to discreetly convey their not-so-secret messages. Every flower and their placement in a posy had a specific meaning.
