The Ultimate Wedding Planning Timeline

January 21, 2015 · 4 Comments

The Ultimate Wedding Planning TimelineYou’ve gotten engaged, and while most of us have envisioned our dream day since we were born, there are many things that need to be figured out which can sometimes take away from enjoying your engagement. You may have booked all the important things – the venue, maybe even the band or you just don’t have a clue about where to begin. What now?

Most couples know what they need to do when it comes to their wedding, but I often get asked “when should I send the Save the Dates” or “when should we finalize seating arrangements.” In the midst of helping my own cousin plan his wedding, I decided to transform the wedding timeline I give all my clients getting married, into a pretty print that you can download as a PDF here, because a boring checklist just doesn’t make wedding planning any fun. Plus with wedding season a few months away, it seems like the perfect time to share this helpful resource. The Ultimate Wedding Planning TimelineWhether you have 14 months or 3 months to plan a wedding, this timeline should serve as a helpful guide in letting you know the basic order of events. Most brides don’t usually have the luxury of having all the time in the world to plan their wedding, but you can still have a stress-free and enjoyable planning process, and this  will help you stay on track.

The Ultimate Wedding Planning Timeline

I’ve also put together a full detailed wedding checklist that you can download here. It has every possible task pertaining to planning your wedding that you can imagine, as well as things you need at your venues or accessories you should have as part of your attire. Although, every task might not pertain specifically, these timeline and checklists can help you plan bridal showers, or any other milestone party in your life.

The most important thing to check off your schedule is to remember that you’re getting married & going to live happily ever after! No wedding is perfect and things might not go as planned, just remember to enjoy the moment, because it goes by faster than you think, and have fun!

I hope you find this helpful!

Dreamery Headshot_2020

A Lover of Nature & Kindness, constantly smitten by the simple pleasures of life. Travel fills my soul with bliss & inspiration. Flowers are my weakness, a slice of homemade pie makes my heart sing. I love the outdoors & live for al fresco dinner parties, cozy candlelit romantic affairs with warm fires & blankets to share.

I dream about these things, it’s true. Yes, it’s all the small details in life that drive me & everything I do because we all deserve to celebrate every special moment in our lives…

This Soba Tom Yum Noodle dish, inspired by @chriss This Soba Tom Yum Noodle dish, inspired by @chrissyteigen recipe wouldn’t be considered traditional but it does celebrate the beautiful Thai flavors I love. I’ll take all the spice & lemongrass please🍜😋!! It’s certainly become a staple of mine, one I’ve recreated several times & I highly recommend you save in your back pocket because it will leave you craving more...& more!!

I used to post lots of recipes on the blog ‘til weddings/events/design took center stage & hoping to do so more again. Get this recipe on the blog now!
I read something yesterday, that made me instantly I read something yesterday, that made me instantly stop & reflect..."Some people think that having Hope makes you naive, but in my mind, it's so much harder to choose Hope over being angry or frustrated..." As someone who considers herself quite a hopeful person, I've had this on my mind since. Let's not confuse Hope w. toxic positivity {in which negative feelings or hardships are pushed aside}, when there is Hope, we still acknowledge our worries, the drawbacks of life, the sadness but still know that there is good.

We've all been doing our best nearing a year into this pandemic; the lives lost, families broken, the uncertain long-term issues, jobs, livelihoods disrupted & most recently too many people to count, struggling after a natural disaster. My heart breaks & is w. all of you, but despite the darkness, what I've also seen during these trying times...is Hope & Love. Communities & strangers coming together to help one another however way they can, even when they too are struggling to get by. That right there, is Hope. Be gentle with yourself, be gentle w. those around you. We’re all doing the best we can🤍
