What happens when you team up with an insanely creative couple with so much love and respect for one another…. you create pure boho garden magic!! No chance of rain or the slightest drizzle was going to stop us from making every dream detail come to life, and guess what, the gorgeous and teary eyed first look and outdoor ceremony, all went off without a hitch. When you first meet Nicole and Jerry, you are instantly soothed by the love they have for each other and how in sync they are as a partnership, one would have to be as parents to their beautiful firecracker little girl, Ellie…..From an array of rose gold touches, mismatched geometric lanterns, rustic woods and garden flowers, to one epic sweetheart table filled with so many details your heart will simply burst. Nicole and Jerry’s wedding was more than just a day celebrating their love and style, it was the day they officially became a family!!
Make sure you give yourself plenty of time to swoon over every single detail and gorgeous photograph, trust me you’re going to need it. Sit back and enjoy this beautiful love story….
Right from the start guests knew what kind of wedding Nicole and Jerry were planning. These Minted invitations captured the vision of the wedding perfectly, pretty yet boho, modern yet garden-y, and a whole lot of uniqueness!
I’m not crying, you’re crying! The love between Nicole and her father, well it’s undeniable. Between finally seeing her in her dress, to walking her down the aisle and handing her off to Jerry, and their tear-filled first dance, I still get chills at how beautiful their relationship is!
It’s not often as wedding planners we encounter grooms who are just as involved and excited as their brides about planning their wedding. Well that was Jerry, there from the very beginning, always with a keen eye on every detail. How sweet and thoughtful are the cuff links he wore with his grandparents’ photos.
He most certainly left his mark on their wedding day, even writing some of the signs!
From the corner of my eye through the garden flowers, I spotted Nicole as she made her way to meet Jerry. You didn’t need to be close to understand just how much love was being shared between one another during their first look. The raw and beautiful emotion was all over Jerry’s face as soon as he spotted his love. But the sweetest part, their daughter Ellie, impatiently running to meet Mommy and Daddy before they finally became the Alvarez’s.
Ripped Hat Photography truly did an amazing job capturing the essence and love of this wedding!!
Nicole was breathtaking in her BHLDN gown, which seemed to float like magic! With touches of rose gold and blush accessories, she was a vision!
The bridesmaids kept things cool and simple in mismatched cream colored dresses, while the Maid of Honor rocked a stunning shade of Sage Green. Their flowers were wild and carefree with White Hydrangeas and Seeded Eucalyptus.
Nicole’s flowers, a natural free-flowing lush bouquet of fragrant White and Blush Peonies, “Playa Blanca”, “Quicksand” and “Faith” Roses, and Italian Ruscus, all tied together with the most delicate silk ribbons.
Let’s not forget the Gents, they were equally as dapper, and fun-loving, in their navy suits and brown leather shoes.
Isn’t the historical Oakeside Mansion just a stunning backdrop for bridal party portraits?!
The ladies had a quick outfit change…custom “Babe” jean jackets. I told you this Bride was oh so cool and creative!!
Nestled amongst the lovely gardens of The Oakeside Mansion, guests forgot the hustle and bustle of the town, and were transported to a quaint European garden. They mingled over pre-ceremony mason jar drinks setup on the prettiest wagon, before taking their seats and witnessing one of the loveliest ceremonies.
Nicole and Jerry so lovingly decided to join their families with a tree planting ceremony, had a family member sing a special song, but their vows, there wasn’t a dry eye in sight! They said “I Do”, sealing it with a kiss as the sky filled with celebratory lavender!!
The ceremony decor was the perfect blend of boho, garden, rustic, and vintage. There was no shortage of unique details!
Rustic wine barrels shined alongside modern gold lanterns, while a vintage white terrarium was filled with lavender for guests to place in their paper cones to toss post ceremony. The furniture pieces used to display their programs, and everything needed to plant their “Alvarez” tree, those were all pieces borrowed from loving family members. Delicate fabric draped around the arch with more pretty blooms, and the aisle was perfectly layered with cool boho rugs!
If you thought you had seen every detail, just you wait. Their open air photo booth with hanging macrame pieces, vintage vanity table, suitcases and cameras, was a romantic’s dream!!
The seating chart is probably one of the coolest, and again so thoughtful. Nicole and Jerry found pictures of all their guests and displayed them under their table number. And right across their seating chart…..a custom Donut Wall they built together, because that’s exactly how they roll!!
Inside, The Oakeside Manor is equally as beautiful as its garden, but even more vintage, quaint and romantic. Nicole and Jerry choose to honor all their loved ones, filling the space with photographs of family and cherished loved ones.
Incorporating details from your past and present is always my favorite, weddings aren’t just a union of two people, but entire families and friends, and this couple did just that!
Modern geometric votives and rose gold table numbers went perfectly with the rustic wood garden boxes that were filled White Hydrangea, Double Tulips, Playa Blanca Roses, Lysimachia, Ranunculus, Italian Ruscus, Salal Leaf and one statement White Peony!
Where to even begin with Nicole and Jerry’s sweetheart table? A sage green and macrame backdrop, a farm table and rose gold chairs, endless assorted candlelight from glass to rose gold to copper and a custom calligraphy runner….I can go on and on about all the gorgeous details, but I’d rather let your eyes simply wander at all the beauty!
Their sweet and simple copper wire “A” is by far one of my favorite cake toppers, exactly what a Peony covered cake needed!
Guests at Nicole and Jerry’s wedding were treated to endless goodies all day long from the ceremony, to lawn games, and the most adorable potted mini succulents for them to take home and “Let Love Grow”. While most guests danced their way into the night, pausing for a yummy Zepoli station and Ice Cream bar – Nicole, Jerry, and a few of their closest guests snuck away for a magical Sparkler Send Off!!
Nicole and Jerry’s wedding and love story was, and is, pure Love and Magic!
