What do you get when a kind sweet couple marries at the historical Waterloo Village — a beautiful boho affair filled with so much love, a fun retro photo booth bus, a s’mores and pizza afterparty … and even a surprise visit from some adorable alpacas! It was one of the first heat scorching days of the year, but it didn’t stop friends and family from gathering in the Secret Garden and watching this love story unfold. It was such a pleasure working with Kira and Rui on their wedding day, with day of planning and styling services, as well as their creatively kind team of vendors. The spaces at Waterloo Village are already so lovely, a boho romantic’s dream with rustic woods, mismatched chairs and vintage glassware. As Kira and Rui snuck away to the beautiful corners of this restored 19th century canal town, they privately exchanged their vows and embraced their love in the most genuine way. Alongside the team of Jeffery A. Miller catering and More than a Gift florals, we added in the final details of their vision of soft delicate fabrics, minimalist florals and the bride’s favorites of dried blooms and pampas grass.
There wasn’t a dry eye when Kira danced with her grandfather, mine included. And the heat certainly wasn’t stopping guests from having endless fun, how could they not especially when Metro Photo Bus’s the Sadie camper was simply irresistible!! As the day turned into night, guests weren’t going home without an after party fit with S’mores and the yummiest brick oven pizza. It was certainly a beautiful day to kick off a full wedding season.
