…E X P A N D & N O U R I S H…
It’s the cycle within the Spring season where it expands to its most grand self. The point in Nature’s life for it to nourish us. Our souls are nourished with flowers to pick and savor with pleasure, and food harvested to nourish our bodies.
We’re nourished with the season’s colors in their most vibrant. Flower petals as wide as their stem allow, before slowly slipping away into the warmer winds of next season…

“The earth laughs in flowers.” — Ralph Waldo Emerson
These words, are ones I’ll always think of when I do of late spring. It is the moment during the season of spring, our world is a rainbow of flowers in full bloom of every colored hue. Their last expansion before time makes way for hotter days, and the branches and blooms that delight us during this next season.

In this styling, we were inspired to bring this next stage of the spring season to life, by continuing with our focus on the early signs of yellow. We used a common yellow filler to create the asymmetrical shape of this centerpiece. Focusing the height and volume on one side, these stems were not only the foundation to our floral piece. The dainty yellow buds and lively chartreuse green hues became the perfect backdrop colors for the other flowers.
We added in the beloved spring flower that blooms widely in sunshine, the Tulip; and removed all the leaves to create a more modern natural feel. When summer rolls around, so too do the hearty flowers, and during Spring last stretch the hot weathered blooms, we see are Daisies. Here the most perfect peachy pink colored mini daisies lended themselves as the most serene delicate contrast to the bright yellows.
