Portugal Travels on Film

March 6, 2025 · Leave a Comment

Looking through photographs of past travels, beautiful landscapes and intricate old architecture for inspiration of Spring creations…I realized I had never shared photographs I’ve taken in the last few years on my film camera. I first photographed and developed my first film in high school, but I have loved it long before. Always intrigued by…

Traveling to … Lisboa Moments + a Setúbal Lunch

August 31, 2023 · Leave a Comment

Whenever I go to Portugal, I’m fortunate to spend time in Lisboa’s Caparica coast. Having family there, it’s always a treat being a close drive to the city and also near its beautiful beaches. Sometimes my stays are jammed packed with adventures, others too short but oh-so sweet. This year was somewhere in the middle,…

Traveling to … Palacio de Queluz | The Details

August 28, 2023 · Leave a Comment

You’ve joined me as we’ve admired every beautiful room, hallway and corner of the Palacio Nacional de Queluz. We’ve promenaded along their lovely Gardens and gazed onto their ornate fountains. Now, let me show my favorite part; its intricate and captivating details. The details, so rich and dense, yet so delicate and calming. Details that…

Traveling to … Autumn in Lisboa & an intimate Fado evening in Amália Rodrigues’ Garden

Traveling to ... Autumn in Lisboa & an intimate Fado evening in Amália Rodrigues' Garden || Dreamery Travels

You may know the beautiful quote “into the forest I go, to lose my mind and find my soul” by John Muir, it’s one of my favorites. For me, it also applies to whenever exploring a new city — especially one rich in history, and particularly Lisboa. It’s certainly near and dear to my heart,…

Traveling to .. Revisiting Old Favorites :: Belém + Baixa de Lisboa || Dreamery Travels

For the last few years every time I am in Lisboa, I naturally spend some time with my loving aunt and uncle in Charneca the Caprica, a quaint neighborhood of the Costa da Caparica beach coast. And whenever possible I always like to take advantage of location to see and do something new within Lisboa….

Traveling to...the Colorful Streets of Lisboa | Dreamery Events

How was your Labor Day Weekend? Did you relax at home with a staycation or did you get out of town for one last vacay? I wish I had been traveling, but yesterday really felt like a beautiful weekend in Portugal on the farm amongst the mountains. It was warm and the breeze was welcoming…

Seven days immersing ourselves in flowers🌿🌼 Conne Seven days immersing ourselves in flowers🌿🌼
Connecting in nature, amongst foraged magic all around a quiet Portuguese village. It could not have been more idyllic.
We learned, we experimented and were encouraged to create with our intuition.
With each passing day our confidence, authentically reblooming.
With every floral piece arranged, the more they organically reflected who we are, and our stories. Each one distinctly ours, and yet collectively coming together.

Because what joy it is to work with flowers, but even more so to do it alongside others and then share it with the world✨

Sharing some reflections about our floral lessons during @chelseafussflowers retreat on Substack...

There is a certain kind of quiet when August begin There is a certain kind of quiet when August begins its end. Unlike any other stillness experienced throughout the year, it’s a distinct calmness that reminds us of summer’s final phase, how soon, it will all begin to change. It’s a quiet noticed slowly in the subtleties of life, when we pause long enough to admire it. And we bask in it because of how incredibly fleeting it is…

Fully summering because there are cosmos, zinnias, marigolds and cutleaf coneflowers still blooming🌼☀️🌸

Posy...a small bunch of simple, sweet-smelling flowers, sometimes large enough to fit in a jar or as small as fitting a pin on a jacket.

Posies became popular during the Victorian era, where they cleverly used the language of flowers to discreetly convey their not-so-secret messages. Every flower and their placement in a posy had a specific meaning.
